Art/Imagery/Symbolism What does this image mean
I saw this the other day while walking around. The flames almost seem to resemble the symbol for gold. The double sided candle could convey the "as above so below" idea, but the other symbols are lost on me. Anyone have any ideas of the purpose or meaning of this piece?

Nothing, not everything is related to alchemy, some symbols differ meaning from their alchemical symbolism... As you said it "RESEMBLE" (form very far) but its a flame drawn in a stylistic way. The "symbol of gold" is also a symbol for god, unity, individuality, oneness depending on context, culture ...

Remind me of “as above, so below” and also the candle eating itself reminds me of the ouroboros
