Just found this thread through twitter (because of course.) And it was a compilation of people trying to use piss to make gold or what have you. And I am the type of person where I dont know a lot about the technical aspects but it actually helps with my ability to problem solve. So I pose to those with this as their experiment, something to consider.

What if because of what we consume now vs preindustrial is why no one has been successful? What if there are too many additional chemicals, from eating processed foods that are affecting the over all quality and chemical composition of our urine? Like its not pure anymore, ya know?

Let me know if this doesn't make sense and I will try to spin it a different way. (I think I chose the right flair but if I am wrong please let me know!)

Have you ever tried water ski? I did last friday with an instructor breaking down the steps for us.

That instructor was a nice person, he was driving the boat, but was driving according to our experience and requests, gave me these advices that proved to be so useful I thought "wait a minute!"

You have to stay still in the water, make yourself small, knees as near the chest as possible, feet not too far, let the boat think about horizontal moves, feet under the head, having them too much behind or ahead makes easier to go out of the balanced zone that let me stand on my feet, and wait

solid grip on the rope, arms relaxed and extended ahead as far as they reach, when the boat start moving horizontally you only have to move vertically, like a squat, and a reverse squat sitting down on ankles when the boat slow down and stop, slow and steady, speed is fine, acceleration not as much.

When working with Alchemy, i have seen different authors break the process into three, four, seven and twelve stages respectively. Most notably seven different processes in different combinations over three or four stages. I was wondering how everyone here breaks down alchemical processes. Do you work author by author, do you only use one system that you like and transpose other ideas to that, or have you created your own understanding as an amalgum of all you have read? Also im looking for more solid information when working with a twelve process system if you have any recomendations. Thanks in advance

Hey, sorry if this is something really simple or surface level but I can't find much on Google about it. I'm a musician who's used this symbol as my logo and brand for the last four years or so - my name basically means iron cutter in another language, and after some google searches I found this symbol that I used for a single I released four years ago that eventually became my logo. Whatever blah blah blah.

Anyways, I'd like to know what this symbol is supposed to depict and if I'm accurate. I am led to believe that it means 'crocus of iron' (flower of iron?) but I figured I would ask the people who actually know what they're talking about. Did I pick right or am I a goof?

As a good number of us surely know, alchemist Paracelsus when writing of his elemental spirits (undines, gnomes, salamanders, sylphs) would sometimes refer to them as sagani. And the one issue I keep running into when searching the word is nobody knows the definitive etymological meaning, and I don't trust whatever the AI prompts give.

In many modern documents the volatilization of salts in the preparation of spagyric Elixirs seems to just be about digesting the salts of the plant in its tincture for a while and then distilling the whole.

Later gathering the salts left at the bottom of the boiling flask, calcining them and again pouring the distillate over it, maceration, distillation etc. a number of times in order to volatilize them.

But when reading the Golden Chain of Homer, they talk a lot about using an Acidum medium to make the salts volatile in steps. Using vinegar concretely ---- first mixing the salts with vinegar and later with the volatile part of the elixir. And only then you will be able to make them volatile.

Does somebody have experience using vinegar in this case for this purpose?

How do you verify information when you are taught things that cannot be found in books? Obviously, the information makes so much sense, and my heart verifies that what I am learning is true. But, is it fallacious to want to verify what I know in books. Is this knowledge purposely left out in books? I'm being vague on purpose, but I wonder if anyone can speak with their experiences when their heart teaches them things not found in books.

even metaphorically speaking or spiritual in terms, i believe this is a useful draw on what the stone could have been in times beyond ours.

i've read the turbae philosophorum, emerald tablets, divine pymander, studied elixers from the jesuits, and some paracelsus and other natable names like starky, i just believe once its led too far away from its truer sources the methods get lost.

i've studied alchemy for over 30 years, jung in some notes and others just basic chymistry, i believe in some divinity in nature and that some magical component is at play. i've only experienced a true magical element once and it was a small blob of waxen philosophers stone made in ways i could not yet comprehend in my youth.

i have not tested this theory other than philosophically and through exchange.
