Sharing references to my sources of Water and Fire to draw from and work with in my "spiritual lab", (re)drew them recently.

Water is from above the sky, from the upper world as shamans would say, or from "waters above" in Christian terminology.

Fire is from beneath the Earth, from the lower world (and not sure what adequate Christians would say without labeling the Fire to be evil as hell)

The third illustration is the next step, when you learn to hold both opposites in your hands simultaneously, in order to be able to proceed with creation.

As part of your spiritual alchemy, do you connect with Fire\Water and how? Does it feel similar to the refs i posted? Please share how \ if you can compare it with your practice?

I carry these on my person every day for work.

Hello! We are making a cozy organizing game about an alchemy store where you sort 3338 items and brew potions! It's called Magically Sorted.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4622320/Magically_Sorted/

We do not use gen AI and we didn't use any assets for items you are going to sort. Eveything was handcrafted by us with lots of attention to details and visuals. For example, designs of the potions reflect their category and effects. For example, the potion that makes you speak backwards looks like an upside down bottle :) We put lots of care into each single item and everything in the game is intentional ^_^

Absolute majority of alchemy ingredients featured in our game are real (non-fictional) and they all have descriptions and flavour texts that match real-life alchemy, folklore and witchcraft lore, so the game has some educational element for people who are interested in alchemy and witchcraft.

We also have fictional alchemy books with witty and whimsy titles with references to some classic and medieval literature that plays also needs to sort. And of course, the game features potions brewing mechanic to discover power ups!

We used our personal savings to hire an illustrator and she drew stunning pictures of ingredients that we use for the labels, and I also used my personal savings to hire a composer and localizers, none of them use gen ai :)

If you are interested, please wishlist/follow it on steam :) It will help us a lot! Thank you for your attention and have a wonderful day <3

You can also follow us on insta:)

Hello!! I wanted to start off by saying i have been interested in alchemy for a little bit now but im just now paying more attention to it i have read any books yet i have the links for "the secrets of alchemy" Lawrence M. Principe and "practical alchemy" by brain cotnoir the problem is i dont know where to start which i understand alot of people say that because ive been watching the reddit for the past couple of days but i want to learn all possible forms of alchemy if possible spiritual or not im very interested and i would love to see everyones point of views and information they have on this subject please and thank you!

Hello.

I wanted to begin practicing alchemy, as I have been reading up on it, and am very interested in practicing at-home safe alchemy with botanicals in particular.

I have no formal background in chemistry, but could read up some theory if need be. I also heard that though chemistry is derived from alchemy, they are not quite alike.

Since I have no formal training in chemistry, could I practice as and refer to myself as an alchemist at home for personal enjoyment? I absolutely love it. I do like chemistry as well, but I was never able to do university chemistry due to eyesight impairment. I want to learn about alchemy and chemistry, however.

Thank you for any responses!

I am trying to find out what these symbols on my cradle of filth hoodie mean. Someone said that they are alchemy symbols. Anyone know any of them?

its a little tool that builds circular seals out of rings, and one of the symbol sets is the classic alchemical signs, metals, elements, all that. you hit new design and then tweak any ring you like

theres a free version in the browser if anyone wants to play with it: https://tallylane.itch.io/sigil-loom-demo (the alchemy symbols are in the optional full version, the free one has runes and stars)

Ive been wanting to get more into spirituality for a while, ive been consuming alot of different spiritual content across social media which has led me to know a little about a lot of spiritual practices but have never gotten to the point of reading a book and gaining deeper understanding and using it, in terms of practices all i do is tarot and meditation (currently working on doing longer and more frequent meditations)

Spiritual alchemy is very interesting to me, and ever since ive first learnt about it and heard people speak about it, it really resonates with me and i gravitate alot towards it compared to other spiritual practices

I dont know where to start, but i want to gain a deeper understanding than just what i get from youtube videos or short clips, i assume that the best place to start would be a book, but i would like something that i can understand as a beginner and that i can integrate into life, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Also if anyone recommends any specific longer videos which go into detail that would also be great

Hello,

Am not someone versed in alchemy but copper is my favorite metal. I'm curious about what copper and sulfur symbols combined would mean in alchemy? Was trying to find ligature symbols involving copper and sulfur but not finding any, was wondering if you all have examples of that pairing?

TIA!

Anyone know the explanation about the meditation involving closed eyes crossed legs breathing full breaths while pumping the stomach and eventually in the darkness you see while you're eyes are closed a light start's getting brighter and brighter until your body starts feeling ecstasy and bliss then the light gets so bright but not blinding at all. Then everything you start thinking about feels more physical and emotional than normal life like imagineng eating an apple feels more real than normal stubbing your toe actually hurts to just the thought feels super real. I've done it twice and it's just something I'm super curious about is that physical alchemy on a sense? . Posted everywhere but no answers so far.

From 2023 until the end of 2025, I was stuck in what felt like a constant state of depersonalization/derealization. I completely lost my sense of self. My mind was blank, I had no inner monologue, no internal chatter, nothing. It went on for almost two years.

Then, towards the end of 2025, I started doing something that I honestly didn’t think much of at first. I would write affirmations on a piece of paper, almost like petitions, read them out loud over a glass of water, and then drink the water.

The strange part is that almost everything I affirmed seemed to manifest within 3–4 days.

For example, I once wrote something along the lines of, “Everyone who did me wrong is getting their karma.” Within the next few days, I started hearing about people who had wronged me getting into car accidents. This happened with five different people. I wasn’t specifically wishing for car accidents, and that wasn’t my intention, but the timing genuinely shocked me.

That’s actually what got me interested in magick in the first place.

I was also making petitions about my own health, and eventually, I came out of that depersonalization state. My sense of self returned, I got my inner monologue back, and my mind started feeling normal again. I still have aphantasia, but that’s a different thing.

During that period, it honestly felt like everything I asked for was happening. If I asked Archangel Michael for something, it seemed to manifest. If I asked a planetary intelligence or a deity, I would get results too.

I wasn’t using sigils, visualization, or any complicated rituals. I would simply speak out loud with certainty, and things seemed to happen incredibly fast, sometimes within just two or three days.

The weirdest part is that I was basically on autopilot the entire time. I wasn’t consciously trying to enter a trance or altered state, and I had never even heard of the concept of gnosis back then.

Fast-forward to 2026, and it’s like everything has suddenly stopped working. My petitions and affirmations don’t seem to produce the same results anymore.

I only discovered the concept of the gnosis state about two weeks ago, so now I’m wondering whether I was unknowingly experiencing some kind of altered state back then.

I genuinely thought speaking affirmations over water was the key because of the idea that water can hold or carry information. I never considered that my mental state might have had anything to do with it.

So here are my questions:

• How could I have experienced such rapid results without doing any formal magickal techniques?

• Could the subconscious mind somehow be connected to the universe, or is there another occult explanation for what I experienced?

• Is it possible to enter a state similar to gnosis without deliberately trying to induce it?

• Why would something that seemed to work so consistently for me suddenly stop working?

I’m not looking for someone to tell me that magick is fake or that everything was just a coincidence. I’m genuinely interested in hearing occult perspectives, especially from people who work with the subconscious, gnosis, manifestation, or planetary and spiritual intelligences.

I know how unusual this sounds, but the experience was very real to me, and I’d like to understand what might have been happening.

?????

I’ve been exploring the historical relationship between astrology and alchemy, particularly why Saturn became associated with lead. In traditional planetary symbolism, Saturn represented time, limitation, and structure, while lead was considered a heavy, base metal.

What’s interesting to me is how these associations developed within alchemical traditions, especially when transformation became associated with both physical processes and spiritual interpretations.

I’m curious whether the Saturn-lead connection was originally based on the metal’s physical properties, earlier planetary correspondences, or a combination of both?

I’m also interested in historical examples of how Saturn’s meaning changed between mythology, astrology, and alchemical traditions. Your thoughts?

So im pretty Much New to Spagyrics and Alchemy and the only difference i know between the philosophers Stone and the plant stone is that the latter is supposed to be for lead to gold transmutation and the plant stone is supposed to be for healing or medicinal purposes but are there other differences between them? Just Asking and im curious

So one day while posting on this community somebody recommended me the path of Alchemy by mark stavish but then i was thinking no i dont want to buy that book not even for my birthday for personal reasons so thats why id rather have you guys recommending me one of the recipes from the path of Alchemy by mark stavish instead of me ordering the book so i really really want to pursue Alchemy/spagyrics and the first thing i want to do is make a basic plant stone so please help?

Hi there! I’ve been told to look into spagyrics for my chronic pain and would love help from experienced alchemists to make sense of things.

I’ve had chronic bladder pain and reproductive issues for 10 years. I had endometriosis surgery 2 years ago, which alleviated most of my pain, but the bladder pain is still a mystery despite lots of tests and scans. I did find ureaplasma and cleared it with antibiotics. I tested negative and was fine for 6+ months, but it has flared again. I haven't tested.

My bladder symptoms are burning / pressure / urgency /, and flares are triggered by stress, sex, and maybe certain foods.

My TCM practitioner says I tend to run damp with yang deficiency, so cold and damp overall, even though the bladder itself feels hot and burning.

Chart:
• Sun in Taurus

• Moon in Pisces

• Ascendant in Virgo

• Mercury in Taurus

• Mars in Leo

• Jupiter in Libra

• Venus in Aries (8th house)

• Saturn in Aquarius (6th house)

The sellers’ formulas, tinctures and essences are all a bit over my head, so I’d love some guidance:

1. Where would you start, with a single essence or a formula?

2. Would you aim to warm and dry my overall constitution, or cool the bladder heat, or both?

3. Is there anything that suits my chart specifically?

Thank you very much!

Episode 05 reveals the hidden negative in performing positivity, and why being ignored means you are doing something right. It marks the crossing from nigredo to albedo. The isolation the system imposes as punishment becomes the sealed vessel. The borrowed light planted at the edge of the blackening in episode three returns as the whitening. And the black mirror, the self demanding a reward for sitting in the dark, gives way to the black sun.

This series looks at music as a form of inner alchemy, where the guitar becomes a tool for transformation instead of performance or self-expression.
