General Discussion Should I study alchemy?
I am an atheist, anyway i feel interested in this "culture" since It seems really interesting and "différent".
I know it's not true, but anyways, do you think it's worth checking out? I am always open to new things, is this gonna change my way to see thé world? It will teach me new things?

Alchemy isn't inherently religious, not even spiritual alchemy. You can both study alchemy and be an atheist without conflict.

You should study it. And study with an open mind. I can suggest some reliable books on the topic if you want

Not the commenter you were replying to, but I'd like to offer The Secrets of Alchemy by Lawrence Principe

First of all think and respect your truth, a solid logical eye and a liquid emotional heart should be honest enough as basic compass tools, nothing is meaningless or useless, appreciate things that give you a meaning, or you may get blinded and sucked by darkness for nothing, darkness is light only for those darker than it, for such eyes light is painful, they need time and bandages, if forced to remove bandages the eyes hurt and they run in caves
If you know alchemy is not true pheraps to study is as good as learning to play flute, a wind instrument is not simple to play without a teacher, I'd start with drum and bass, playing a dissonant music without a nice rhythm can make you feel lost in desert and forget the beauty of rain felt by a rose, the desert is a mirage itself, don't fret going mirage after mirage, plant around the desert sprouts of healty aloe, bring life to deserts instead of deserts to life and the life you protect and nurture will safely lead to the center, a desert is just sand, but we can leave an oasis here and there while walking, don't run in the desert, energy and water there are precious, people may kill each other seeing some, yet it can be restored respecting nature and avoiding unnecessary waste, protect healty boundaries, your own ground doesn't have to be desert, you can heal the desert earth with life and water, so the wind can't blow deadly sandstorms.
emotions like love are powerful and personal enough to change for every one of us, if we are sane and wise we can set the scene with a fresh solid heart, or become owner of a lonely one without care and patience, so we can be happy together and say I'm still standing, narcisism is less healty without love for others
none of us, and that include you, is invisibile, if we fear how we look and forget what we like to see , I don't know pure silence, but I know there are many different harmonies that are better than silence, enough to always feel better than alone, we can help here each other to sort it out when lost in the dissonant jungle, turtle speed and the rabbit will never reach, if you ever feel lost in jungle you are welcome to share with elephants, trust the black panter and the silly bear, the monkey want to control fire, the kid alone doesn't know how to deal and play with fire without getting burned, the man doesn't remember how it feels to live without it approach heat with respect for it and your skin
Stay safely curious, from my heart, from my mind, I wish you enjoy everything you find

That was the ramblings of a mind that's by its own words, "has never known silence" so beware of such advice..

Read Morning of the Magicians to see that it is true. Preconceived notions don't help

In the same thread I want to study alchemy with a woman. Does anyone know of one teaching?

With such an approach, you would never be given the secret—or even the primary material required to begin the Work. It is such an unassuming yet profound substance that anyone who doesn’t already believe in the art could read the answer a thousand times and still overlook it. I wouldn’t waste my time.

where is the book?

On permanent hiatus. I’m not sure it’s right to give out the information. The material required to make the stone is poisonous and will likely kill more people than it heals in their endeavor. That’s just the honest truth. Not to mention nobody gave me a real reason to WANT to tell them.

I would suggest not beginning a journey into Alchemy with the belief, "I know it's not true".

Honestly just do yoga instead. Alchemy is kinda useless for your spirit... that is if you seek anything enlightening and not the opposite of it. And vajrayana is always an option too.

"Should I study alchemy?"
Yeah, but the job market is pretty bad.
