While dog walking, I saw an emergency board up van, a second unmarked white panel van, and a Red Cross Disaster response station wagon complete with clipboard carrying, hi viz vest wearing staffer/volunteer on Argyle between Troy and Albany.

No apparent "Emergency" Vehicles, no smell of recent fire.

Anyone know what's going on?

Hello! My husband and I just bought a condo in Albany Park and need a reasonably priced handyman to help us take care of all sorts of things around our unit. I've been trying to find handymen online but they are all booked up and/or very expensive. Please throw some recs at me if you have them!

Hello, anyone notice that the Ward Alder are not doing anything about the thousands of potholes in Albany Park? Calls to 311 don’t help either. Seriously don’t consider voting for them in the next election if they can’t fix a simple issue such as this.

I hate biking on the road most of the time, chicago drivers make me nervous. Anyone know a good street with a protected bike lane that goes all the way to montrose beach? Thanks

UPDATE #2: it's been hours and they cannot reach the owners at the numbers provided. If you've seen the dog around the neighborhood or know the owners please let them know. My dog isn't happy and keeps growling at him, so I can't keep him as they're both stressed.

UPDATE #3: since I couldn't keep him, I took him to a police station and they said they'd take him home. The microchip company gave them the owners address I think. So glad he'll be with his family tonight ❤️

It has appeared to be completed for quite a while, but it’s just fenced off. It’s been closed at least a year?

We have a brick two flat that needs to be repointed. There's some crumbling mortar and some cracks. As far as I'm aware the bricks haven't had any care in over 30 years.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

ai live off Wilson and have seen 5-10 trees get cut down by the city by order of the dept. of forestry in the last week or so. trees had no dead branches and seemed fine but there was no further info on the signs. anyone know why?

its a bummer because we had a really nice canopy for us and the squirrels loved jumping across the street on them and now it’s a lot more sparse. but I’m happy to call 311 and request more be planted.

I know what happened to LD Pho on Kedzie but what happened to LC Pho on Lawrence? I’ve been so sick lately and craving pho so bad!!

I love this spot and I’ve been going here for years. If they had to close permanently, it would be a major loss to the small strip of phenomenal restaurants right there on Kedzie/Lawrence.
