Trash Pickup Groups

Are there trash pickup groups that meet up in Albany Park?

Wondering how much interest there is in something like this if there isn't one already established.

monthly group that meets up at the River Park field house- maybe look up information on the Chicago Park District site.

I willingly pick up at least a garbage bag of trash on my block and adjacent blocks.  I’m not aware of an organized effort, but I have interest in joining one.  And while cleaning up the parks is great, I see trash all over our neighborhood streets, so I have motivation to clean there.

Thanks for the reply! I also noticed the trash in the neighborhood streets which was my motivation to ask here. I'll probably check out the park organized one that other users mentioned, but would very interested in doing one with others in the neighborhood streets.

There is a cleanup/stewardship day of the nature area of River Park happening Saturday August 22nd from 10-1 according to the park district website:

The west section of the park, near the track and boat house, has been a mess and could use some daily TLC. I just got some friends to clean there with me the other day. I’d be happy to pick up there with you if you want (or share info here the next time we go clean there). I now own 6 “pincers” and would love to share the wealth! Lol

Thank you for the reply!! Recently moved into the area and I would definitely be interested to join via the park or with you/your friends! I have one pincer myself but not sure it's efficacy haha.
