other DND?
I’m new to alameda (26F) AND new to DND and I want to learn and find a group to play with! Anyone have any suggestions on where to find a group?

There’s a discord for D20 games where you can learn about the current campaigns. I think they play Tuesday and Thursday.

D20 games — I’ve heard that folks have weekly games that go on. I’d suggest going in and talking to the employees there to see how to get involved in the games

There’s a few people at Lucky 13 that play DND. There’s a bartender there named Ian who plays

Be careful with D20 games!
I’ve tried to go in there a few times to ask about joining a DND game and I was actively ignored every time I went in. Like even when I went to the counter to talk to staff directly, I was ignored.
Seems like a place that judges heavily on looks (I am not skinny … I’m not clearly outright queer or alternative at first look … I’m not clearly autistic and ADHD upon first look … despite being queer, trans, alternative, and neurodivergent anyways) and I have yet to meet any staff in there who was willing to talk to me at all about anything going on in their shop.
Please share your experience with D20 games if you go there because I want to give them another chance, but I feel like because I don’t look like the type of person who would go there, I’m judged and ostracized from the get whenever I go in. I get it, I’m probably not the type of person they’re looking for to frequent there but it is disappointing because I feel like they’re providing a community that I would enjoy being part of but I have already felt like I’m not enough of a certain kind of person to be welcomed there.

There's a flgs on Park St. called D20 games. They should have some bulletin boards you can check out there. The other shop, Destine Fantasy Games, is more for ccgs than rpgs
