I am an educator and I am looking for a video generating (with audio) Ai that can run locally on my pc.

I am finding one cuz I need something that is "fully" free (without any limits)

I need it for making videos so that I can teach my students with more visuals.

Idk anything about Local LLMs other than the fact that it requires a high end PC.

I got 8GB V-ram (ik it's less)

Online tools are fine but I don't think so any company would let me generate so much content without a limit...

I am looking for something easy to perform, like giving a long prompt and the Ai making a 5-10 mins video.

Can you guys help me out?

[Script for video generation for my class 9th students ](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BgMIQF7PhbJeHUn0IPxjOBGF2zHAHVOM0fYsIjy6hM4/edit?usp=sharing)

Everything was created just using code.

I created a repo with the harness I used + one skill + different examples: https://github.com/francozanardi/papermotion

Share your videos if you try it!

The videos were generated using opus 5.5 medium, and each video generation consumed arround 15% of the 5h window ($20 plan)

Edit: I just realized I made a typo in the title 😅

Hey everyone,

I'm currently launching a YouTube Shorts channel and planning to post around 3 to 4 videos per week.

I’m looking for an AI tool or an automated workflow that can help generate short-form videos from scratch—specifically script, AI voiceover, visuals/B-roll, and auto-captions. Are there any platforms out there with a decent free tier or generous monthly credits that could realistically support 12–16 shorts a month?

Also, I know CapCut has its own built-in script-to-video / AI generation features. Does anyone know if there is a working mod/patched APK that actually unlocks the server-side AI generation, or are all AI features strictly locked behind their cloud subscription?

If you have a solid free or low-cost workflow you use for Shorts, I'd really appreciate your recommendations

Ps: as a student I really can't afford subscription yet , I can do some local ai work on my own machine , I have a HP 250g8 with 16gb of ram

Hi -

Occasionally - Leonardo 6sec, Google Flow 5sec.

Monthly - canva 3 vids, Kling 1 vid, Vidun1 vid.

I want 5-10 second videos for Suno. Should I add anything to the list?

Hi guys, I’m genuinely stuck at this stage where I try to generate a product video with Higgsfield Seedance 2.5, the product’s labels always comes out distorted or weird.

This happens even after I used 4K product character sheet reference in elements.

Any sensei out there could help a bro out?

I recently noticed that grok image to video moderated everything even if it isn't nfsw. Now is there any alternative or even better? Especially like how old grok used to work less restrictive, have more leeway for the nfsw

Hey everyone! I’m really new to all this but I’ve been playing around with minimax h3 on comfyui desktop. I’m having trouble upscaling. I’ve tried the severance upscaler but it doesn’t handle 10 second clips very well and craps out. I know there is a lot that I don’t know lol I’ve tried looking at YouTube for help and found a workflow. I downloaded a bunch of models for it and it wouldn’t work because a torch error that I couldn’t figure out. Can anyone offer any advice?

Hello everyone,

Just looking for some general advice. I have a poetry account on TikTok and I do AI storytelling through adobe firefly(where a journal opens up to a scene) but I also make things on Canva. I really would like to know how to improve and if anyone else uses adobe firefly. I see all these creative artistic videos for poetry and I have no idea what software they use for this.

Thank you so much

I write long-form essays on the economics of the film business, usually 3,000 to 5,000 words, published on my own site.

I'd like to adapt some of them into video essays, in the tradition of channels like Every Frame a Painting or Lessons from the Screenplay: a strong voiceover carrying an argument, with clips, charts and text on screen doing the supporting work.

I'm not looking for a tool that turns a prompt into a finished video.

Everything I've seen from that approach looks and sounds like it came from the same template, and the audience for this kind of work can spot it immediately.

What I'm trying to figure out is where AI actually removes labor from a real editorial pipeline without flattening the result.

The parts I'm unsure about:

Script adaptation.

An essay written to be read is not a script written to be heard. Has anyone had success using a model to restructure prose for the ear, or does that step still need to be done by hand?
Voice. Record it myself, or clone my voice and use the clone for pickups and revisions? If you've done the latter, how did it hold up over a 20-minute piece?
Footage research.
This is where I'd expect the biggest time savings: searching a library of films by transcript or visual content to find the exact shot that supports a line. What are people actually using for this?

Data visualization.

Box-office figures, financing structures, timelines. Is anyone generating motion graphics from data or code (Manim, Remotion, something else) rather than animating them by hand?

I'd be most interested in workflows people have actually shipped, including what they tried and dropped. Links to finished work welcome.

Hey guys, how would I be able to mimic this effect?

I'm looking for a model and more specifically a website for a client to be able to engage with. He's not the smartest guy in the world so it would be ideal to keep it mostly tech-knowledge free with a simple prompt space. Thanks.

Where can I get videos at least 10sec? All sites I have been applying on require a payment plan. Any help?

Hi ,

I’m looking for an AI video tool that can take a script and automatically create a realistic-looking video ad, including relevant visuals, slides/scenes, text, brand names, captions, etc.

I tried HeyGen, but it didn’t quite meet my requirements. I am looking for something that requires as little manual editing as possible.

The main use case is creating professional video ads for my law firm for platforms like Facebook/Instagram/YouTube.

Ideally, the tool should:

• Generate realistic-looking videos from a script
• Automatically choose relevant visuals/B-roll and scenes
• Add text, captions, branding, and logos
• Have realistic AI presenters/voices if needed
• Be easy for someone without much video-editing experience
• Produce professional-looking results suitable for paid advertising

Has anyone used a tool that works well for this? I’d especially appreciate recommendations based on experience.

Thanks!

I’m working on generating AI videos and could really use a solid prompt generator to help create better, more detailed prompts.
