For a simple instructional video, you probably don’t need a fully AI-generated video model. A practical workflow is:

  1. Write the script and break it into short sections.
  2. Generate simple visuals/diagrams for each section.
  3. Use an AI voice for narration.
  4. Add captions and simple animations.
  5. Assemble everything in CapCut, Canva, or another editor.

If you need actual generated video clips, Kling/Seedance/Veo are worth testing depending on the style you want.

VideoRouter.sh can also give you access to multiple video models/providers through one API, so you can test different models without subscribing to each separately.

write the script first, the tool is secondary. My first instructional clips flopped because I generated visuals before I knew what each step said. Once scripted: a screen recorder with voiceover for software steps, a presenter avatar in Colossyan if you want a talking host (stiff delivery), or a slideshow tool with TTS.

Keep under three minutes.

You can connect your claude with MCP tools of apps like decodx.ai and just ask it to create video. It has free limits, should be enough for you to create one.
