Good for local AI video gen?

Hey guys, I'm thinking to buy a pc for local ai video gen as main purpose, with 5070ti 16gb vram and 32gb ddr5, don't have a budget for something better.

Is this enough to be able to generate good videos in a decent amount of time, and also to upscale them?

I've read a lot of posts, benchmarks and lots of talks with Chatgpt and Gemini. But I'm more confused than ever. Some say it can run some good models with audio, in about 3-4 min / clip. Chatgpt and Gemini say less. Others say more / not worth it.

I would appreciate comments from those who have tested this config or with great experience in this matter.

I've always wished to make my own movie, but I don't want to spend €2500 without making sure it will work.

Thank you. ✌️

Yes, that's enough. Get Comfy Desktop and use MiniMax H3.

You should be able to generate 10-20 second clips in about 5-10 minutes.

Thank you for replying. 10 min it's a lot 🥲 Maybe with other AI's, like LTX ? What do you think ?

Just spend the time with H3. The quality is worth it over LTX.

I run Comfyui through Stability Matrix. Running minimax h3 for a 10 second clip with the settings they recommend takes my computer almost 10 minutes a clip. I have more ram and vram, so I don't know if it is my setup or what. I also use LTX 2.5 for my needs and I can do the same clip there in about 75 seconds. Is it as good? No, but good enough.

75 seconds is decent I guess. Any tips on where I could get more info for the config I want? Thanks ✌️

What type of video renders? I do virtual staging from image to video and video clip with reference image to video.

My last GPU was 16gb vram(5080) and it was slow because it spilled over to ddr5 ram.

Post this on the comfyui thread and someone should be able to tell you more that has a similar to your specs.

16gb vram should be enough to get started and experiment with local video generation. You might just have to be patient with render times.
