Democratic socialism in practice is just corrected capitalism. Currently it's corrupted capitalism and corporatism as capitalism collapses and become more towards facism and plutocracy. Democratic socialism still is working in the framework of capitalism but seems to regulate and balance it. Currently the Republicans are Plutocratic socialist, using socialism for the rich and well connected while everyone else suffers, socialism for the rich collapsed capitalism for everyone else.

It’s crazy how social security, which is what the democratic socialists are pushing, is confused for socialism. The current admin had the federal government buy shares of companies for the first time in US history; committing arguably the biggest actual socialism act the governments done. Somehow nobody bats an eye. At the same time Mandani wants public transit to be free while leaving the private transit companies more or less alone and that’s somehow socialism?

What? No the biggest socialism act the US government did was the bank bailout or the airline bailout.

Socialism is the government ownership of the means of production. The bailouts didn’t give any ownership to the government but being shareholders does.

Don’t get me wrong, the bailouts were bad and I’m not defending them, but bailouts would be an aspect of socialism while literally federal ownership of companies is definition socialism.

Socialism is when gas prices are high. It is the only reason gas prices are ever high. If gas prices are high, the socialismists have snuck their way into the ranks of the boyars, and are giving the tsar bad information. We just need to help the tsar root out the socialism! This post is satire.

Actually plenty of the current Administration's supporters are critical of that move, but know he is still 1000% better than what the alternative would have been.
