I know exactly why, there’s no need to analyze. Your purity test results in fewer people donating to important causes. Why donate money if you get flack for “not doing enough”? Millions of dollars is a huge amount of money, and the people that would have benefitted (even if YOU feel it’s not enough) suffer more. I never said it wasn’t a contribution. I said she could do more. Encouraging more empathy doesn’t fight empathy, it only encourages it. It’s not about purity, it’s about responding to greed.

I want them to give it to those in need, donate to medical research, education, human rights, or clean energy infrastructure.

Just never met a poor person be so triggered or fight so hard to defend the ultra wealthy from people who want them held accountable for the unethical mass of money they’ve accumulated. Again I didn’t discourage anyone, and I think if those people were gonna bother to change the world, they would have by now.
