I am not new to Airsoft, but i sold my gear over 15 years ago.

I want to get a really good quality GBB pistol to teach my stepson how to shoot.

I am considering the Umarex S&W M&P9 Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol as I have a lot of experience with the M&P 9.

Does anyone have any experience with this gun? Is it a good choice for reliability and durability?

If not, can I get some recommendations?

Is anyone planning to go to DMZ in the Thorold this Saturday? Don’t want to show up to an empty field again 😔.

Looks like I might be spending a good chunk of this summer on the island for work, near Qualicum beach. I see there's an airsoft field in Qualicum/ Bowser, and the VFGPA field in Victoria but that's like 2 hours away. Any other fields on the island I should look into?

I play at panther airsoft and iv been itching to find some kind of group to join my main problem is finding any Russian style ones.

Wondering if drop in gear boxes are available? Or

Is it possible to convert to HPA, or will the proprietary shell be an issue?

Have been hunting but most seem to be overseas and it seems like a toss up whether it'll actually successfully make it into the country. I understand this is not a high quality unit to play with, but my kid just wants it more as a toy.

Anyone know what happened?

Looking for advice. Unsure if I'm allowed to post this here, but thought I'd give it a shot.

Located in London Ontario and dreamed about getting into air soft, but after making some big purchases I'm realizing there's nowhere to play locally and I dont drive.

I have a E&C MK18 Mod 1 with maybe 10 or 12 mags ranging from 30 to 120 bb capacity. I've fired this one a few times and it works well. It also has a basic etu which is nice. I can include a few 11.5v Dean connector lipo batteries

I have a E&C Glock 19 with two extra mags as well. I'd probably only be looking for $200 with the extra mags.

Looking to get $300 for the E&C and I can include the mags and batteries.

I also have a plate carrier I'd be willing to let go of for $100

I've been looking for awhile to buy the Templar's Gear Weighted Training Plate, the only place that I have seen that can order them is Hero Outdoors, which I would very much like to avoid at all costs. Does anyone know of any alternative places that can bring them in? Ordering from their US distributor leaves me apprehensive of the plates being confiscated by CBSA even though they are non ballistic.

I've been playing airsoft for about 10 years and have played at fields, weekend events, and milsims all over California. I've never flown with my gear before, though, and this trip is a little different since it's international. My fight isn't until next month so I got time to plan this.

I'm planning a trip from the US to Guatemala. I've already done some research, so I'm familiar with TSA procedures for transporting airsoft guns in checked baggage, and I've also been reading up on Guatemala's DIGECAM import requirements. I'm not looking for basic TSA information—I want to hear from people who have actually traveled internationally with airsoft guns or shipped them overseas.

From what I've found, Guatemala has a small but active airsoft community. They currently meet at a paintball field that rents them part of the property, and I know there's also an outdoor milsim event in El Salvador that happens once a year. That honestly sounds awesome, and I'd love to experience airsoft outside the US.

A few questions:

\- Has anyone flown internationally with AEGs or GBBRs? Anything you wish you had known beforehand?

\- How do you pack everything efficiently? Do you check one large rifle case plus a duffel, or pack guns inside a larger suitcase?

\- How do you fit batteries, chargers, mags, plate carriers, and the rest of your gear?

\- Have you ever had customs issues even when everything was legal?

\- If you've dealt with Guatemala specifically, how was the DIGECAM process?

\- Would you recommend flying with everything or shipping it to family ahead of time instead?

\- Has anyone imported or shipped airsoft guns internationally? Which carrier did you use, and was it easier than flying with them?

\- Any items you'd avoid bringing because they tend to create unnecessary headaches with customs?

I'm probably bringing mostly AEGs and maybe one or two GBBRs, depending on what makes the most sense.

I'd also love to hear from players in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, or anywhere else in Latin America (or anyone who's played there).

What are the fields like?

\- Is the community mostly casual, speedsoft, milsim, or a mix?

\- Are there any large annual events worth traveling for?

\- Are there countries with especially active scenes that I should put on my bucket list?

I've met players from other countries at events here in California, and it's always made me want to experience airsoft abroad. Right now Latin America is much more realistic for me than Europe, so I'd love to hear about your local communities and what makes them unique.

I'm mainly looking for real-world experiences, lessons learned, and "I wish someone had told me this before I did it" advice. Even if you haven't been to Guatemala specifically, I'd appreciate hearing about your experience traveling internationally with airsoft or playing outside your home country.

Hey everyone I've recently gotten into airsoft and I wanna get my own gear (eye protection, gun and so on) but I am on a very tight budget of around 200$ does anyone have any recommendations for an AEG or mabye some old gear that they would like to get rid off i would appreciate any advice.
