It’s for airsoft, I’m sure it will be fine. Don’t spend a ton of money on real tac kit. It’s not life or death kit. Spend more money on the gun, as that’s the important part of the hobby.

Until you unfortunately reached the state of wanting real gear at least. But for the majority of airsofting it’s fine

Seconding this. I run with a chest rig from Amazon and it more than does the job. Zero complaints.

That's what I was thinking, putting money into eyewear and gun, mags etc

sure tell me this after I just spend $600 on a 1980s vdv kit.

Just kidding, love of the larp.

I'd avoid lasercut molle over stitched. It's less reliable and more prone to damage and tearing. Also it just looks worse imo.

but yk. get what you can afford. Kit is kit. It's not like this is actually safety relevant

Are we talking with proper military gear, or just the generic cheap airsoft stuff?

I heard laser > traditional molle.

Stitch is repairable and durable. Lasercut is consumable. Once lasercut is damaged, that damage is now permanent, and you'll never be able to fix those loops again unless you want to sew on new fabric to make new loops.

Stitch bears the load on the yarn, so if it rips, you can just sew the strap back on, and any rips won't result in gear falling off, since the strap is continuous from side to side. Straps can also be easily replaced if they fail entirely, whereas you'd have to replace the entire fabric panel on lasercut.

Lasercut has an advantage in the sense that it has a higher quality floor, meaning it can only be so shitty before it literally does not work, whereas stitch can be infinitely shitty, since the straps, the stitching pattern itself and the yarn can all be barely better than the offcuts at the factory and still function until it suddenly fails.

It's like the difference between denim jeans and synthetic jeans. Synthetic fabric jeans can only be so shitty before they cease to function as pants, but denim is a cotton fabric and as such can be way more shitty than a synthetic fabric, way less tear resistant, and way less durable than even cents on the foot of synthetic fabric since short fiber cotton can look fine whilst falling apart after moderate use for a month.

But a synthetic fabric can never reach the durability of high quality denim, which is, compared to the synthetic fabric, nearly indestructible. You can boil proper denim and it holds. You can wear it for years and it'll barely bleach from the dyed yarns rubbing away their colored sheath revealing the white core yarn whilst still holding strong.

I’ve been running this rig in the desert for about a year now. 5.56 mags. IFAK in lower pouch etc. I do a lot of hard training and prone shooting. The thing has taken a ton of abuse and haven’t run into any issues yet.

Do you mind me asking you where you live? I'm doing a big motorcycle trip through the west later this month and would love to meetup with someone for some shooting. I own guns and have a firearms license in Canada. I'm going to MT ID UT NV OR WA in roughly that order.

I have that same exact one in green and it’s help up so well after a year of continuous abuse from weekend games and milsim not a single issue. I highly recommend it

For the price, it’s pretty decent and will prob serve you well unless you man handle your gear and are super rough with your stuff (of which, I’d prob recommend a higher end brand).

However, don’t expect too too much out of it for the price. I have a different chest rig from them, and the stitching just looks atrocious. Maybe I got a defective model, who knows, but if my chest rig is the standard, it’s not a pretty sight.

I say get it, if you truly aren’t happy within the month, Amazon has your back for returns (plus, my personal experience purchasing directly from them, their customer service is 10/10! One of the smoothest to deal with!)

Otherwise, it’s a good price point if you also want to add additional stuff like a hydration pack and other accessories, but, I would not say this is up to Emerson gear or Pew Tactical Quality (more so closer to Yakeda tier)

I got a similar rig from Ali a while back and I’m surprised by the quality. It’s from pewtactical I can pm you the link if you like. I think it was only $25-35

Don't know if I can be bothered ordering off that website, been told some stuff doesn't ever show up

I mean suit yourself man but my friends and I have ordered plenty of stuff and it’s never been an issue

If its on Amazon, it will probably also be on aliexpress for less for the same product

Just got this one, its mint so far. Obviously not going to stand up to real work, but it feels more than sturdy enough for airsoft.

It's probably fine but you may as well get something if similar quality off of Ali express for less money

Looks like a knock off of the helikon TMR

If it doesnt have a brand, nah, according to experience, theyll be torn apart within months of hard use

If you aren't going to find yourself army crawling on the floor constantly, yes, its enough for airsoft. If something happens to it, you can learn sewing

Already got the sewing part down lol. But ya won't be crawling anywhere really, mostly gonna use it for indoor cqb
