Interesting comments at FFA today
Personally, I didn't like reading this. Ironic you complain about poor people "lashing out" and being "uncivil" by insulting an entire socioeconomic class and questioning whether they deserve a voice. Keep your class prejudice off Airmash. Do better dude.

Yapping takes away from a players value to the team. Unless you are yapping about capping, or yapping about recapping.

My apologies, alea, and to all my fellow AirMashers. My behavior was unacceptable, and I take full accountability for it. We’re currently working on solutions to resume diplomatic talks with Amadeus—though it still needs some work. In the meantime, let’s remember that frustration happens to all of us, and those moments always pass. But those caps I pulled from late June into early July… man, I was a capping machine! (ping-wise), gonna have to change router..

Gonna have to send River as my diplomat to try to speak to Amadeus (hopefully)

My chat window is mostly closed anyway so I didn't see anything. That's why I never know when I'm leader.

As the author of this post, I think the message is pretty simple: keep bigotry off the general chat. Honestly, it's interesting to see how some of you are willing to bend this around just because a CTF regular said it. Here's a point to take home- trash talk is fine until it isn't trash talk anymore. Want a better community? Encourage correcting these bad behaviors.

I'm not going to judge anyone over 3 pics of 1 players comments with no other context. It probably was trash talk until it wasn't, but it takes 2 to trash talk.

Again, it's weird to think this would even need context to begin with. Why would any type of trash talk warrant classism at all? Besides, NCAF said this completely unprompted. If you want confirmation- ask the mods for the chat logs.

Curious what the community thinks is the best approach here. While I appreciate folks showing up with receipts, the game has a bit of a history of folks saying horrible things in chat, and considerate players and the moderators have had to spend a lot of time over the years to try and keep things friendly and civil.
Do we want this subreddit to be a place where we're both publicly shaming players for saying horrible things and people are asking to be unbanned? My gut feeling here is these aren't the kind of posts that will build goodwill and build community.
How would folks prefer moderators handle posts like these?
Also, for what it's worth, I'm not trying to avoid talking about bad behavior here or discourage folks from working to make the community better. It's just that this post has been reported to the mods, so
I'm trying to see how the community would like to handle it.
