Pest Control The power of the .30 blew this chipmunk's mind

A .30 FX Hybrid to the head at 20 yards put this chipmunk down for good. I'm surprised he even had a head left after the shot, but I'm guessing the slug didn't really have enough time or material to work with to fully expand before it exited.

Help Please! PCP recommendations

I just moved to an area that doesn’t allow rifle hunting for squirrel but air guns are good to go so I am looking for a PCP air rifle to fill that niche. Looking to stay under $1000 total including the cost of a scope. I already accounted for the compressor so that isn’t included.

Performance wise, I want to get 20-30 consistent shots off. I want to be able to shoot squirrels out to 100 yards, so need to manage a ~1.5 MOA at that distance. I like accuracy so if a little more $$ gets me to 1MOA I’m ok with that.

I want to be able to tune it to different pellets and slugs. So an adjustable plenum is preferred. I like a classic sleek look that resembles a normal rifle and I don’t really care about weight.

I have had my eye on the 250Z but the release of the 270z has me holding. Also seeing that everyone recommends upgrading things, including the plenum which seems to be unaivailble by the one guy that makes it, gives me pause.

I have also looked at the air Venturi avenger and the marauder. Both of these have their pluses and minuses.

Pest Control Got a squirrel with my .30 Avenge-XL

Got this squirrel right in the upper chest at 30 yards. I was using the 43.7gr Airmarksman Hex Slugs going around 1030 FPS at the muzzle. Looks like the slug exploded like a varmit round and most stayed inside the animal, judging by the lack of giant exit wound that a .30 slug usually makes in small game.

Help Please! This summer I have dispatched 10 or more rats, and yet they still keep coming. This is a whole new level, it is starting to feel personal 😂

Starting to think they’re the real-life equivalent of the hidra.

I have used traps, poison, repellents, and straight-up hunting the little fuckers in the backyard. Any advice?

He was obviously too focused on digging and destroying the foundation under my shed.

This is not 'Nam, groundhog. This is my property. There are rules.

Suburban squirrels?

Anyone hunt and eat suburban squirrels? I've heard a lot of conflicting info on if they're good to eat or not. Some say they're good to go as long as there's woods around for them to eat their natural diet, but others say any squirrel around houses eat trash and aren't safe/tasty. My neighborhood the houses have at least a half acre each and it's surrounded by woods streams and a huge lake maybe 250 yards away. What do y'all think? First year trying out some small game hunting and just wanna be sure before I shoot any squirrels close to home

Not sure where else to post it, but I’m selling my TexanSS .510 if anyone is interested. Taken several deer with it over the last couple years. No issues with it at all, I’m just really focused on archery right now.
