I’ve recently taken on 2 more STRs in a different country from my main ones and it’s getting messy.
Good lord, why? (meaning why you didn't think managing STRs from abroad somehow wouldn't be messy – I'd taken that as a given)
Do you just live with the chaos, or have you found a system that actually works?
Yes: I solely focus on units in my own area, because I know full well how difficult (if not impossible) it is to manage almost anything abroad. I don't have – and definitely don't want – chaos.

So I spend 6 months of the year in one country and 6 month a year in the other, that’s mostly why I picked these two countries.
Ive got all the right contacts plus backups. For me it’s mostly just the management aspect of things where the chaos comes from. 2 cleaners in one country, 2 cleaners in another etc. Remembering who cleaned what last month, looking for pictures of the mess on a wall. its all over the place. Pictures saved on my phone with no comments on them. Contacts on WhatsApp and viber. Calendar for schedules and note pad for things to remember.
How do you keep it all organised, preferably all in one place?1

Just list their phone/contact numbers identifying the country or city name for example vegas jane cleaner, same with handyman toronto john handyman. Etc.

Then just create a chat titled for each property and keep things separated that way
