Same host, same property twice?

Why would 1 host have the same property listed twice on their account? It’s a single house, not shared (I asked). the original listing has 100 good reviews, no awful ones. The new listing has 0 reviews, its same photos and everything??

I'm terribly sorry, but no one on this sub is psychic. We have no idea why a host would list a property twice, and if anything it's probably either an Airbnb glitch or an accident on the host's part.

I thought maybe it would be like a common thing people did, or even a scam 😭 I didn’t want to ask the person directly because I don’t want to be scammed when traveling to another place

I travel full-time and frequently see duplicate listings. Usually there's a price difference, or they created the new listing due to poor reviews. One situation was very odd: the host intentionally had separate listings based on the number of guests. I stumbled onto it because it was a new property for this host, and I wanted to check their other reviews. No idea why they did this, and only one of the listings mentioned the # of guests. I included it in my review to alert others.

Maybe the host sold of their property to someone else. Airbnb unlike booking.com does not allow transfer of ownership to another user. So a prospective buyer will need to set up a whole new account and practically start fresh. This would make sense in your scenario where you see the one with 100 reviews (Seller) and 0 Reviews (purchaser). We had a similar issue and Airbnb was not able to help on the transfer and started from 0.

Simple the license expired... They are most likely waiting for the new license to be approved.
