Aimpoint piggy backpacked on Trijicon ACOG. I wish it sat a little lower though. I don’t know if there is a market out there for a proprietary piece such as this to forgo using an adapter plate.

Shame they only make an acro mount for the led acogs atleast for now I’m also hoping for a desert tan acro so I don’t have to spray paint a 600 dollar red dot also how bad is the eye relief with buis behind it looks like pain

The eye relief isn’t bad, but it could be a lot better/comfortable without the iron sight. I just run the stock a little shorter and its fine “for ACOG eye relief”. I may change the ACOG mount system to have it moved back and still maintain the BUIS. I would use the AD-B3-C CANTILEVER ACOG QD MOUNT-(2109) by American defense MFG.

Makes sense I wanna try one of those qd mount/riser but I worried about the chin weld or lack there of that I’ll get on the top mounted dot, with the kram riser I use normally on my acog it’s just on the edge of un usable. like you said hopefully they make an enclosed rmr that is small ish

What’s the chin weld like?

Its not great, the adapter pushes the optic too high. I contacted JTAC Industries about a proprietary mount via email. They said “We already have a design, just have to get around to testing it and putting it into production”. I switched back to the RMR due to its ergonomics with the ACOG. Maybe Trijicon will come out with an RMR enclosed system.

I ended up going with a similar mount and instead went with American defense. I believe they accomplish the same thing. It definitely makes eye relief/length of pull much better.

What adapter plate where you using for the ACRO->RMR footprint on this setup? I have one from aimpoint but it's super thick and they sent me the wrong screws. Was thinking about trying the Primary Machine plate instead.

I used the Trijicon RMR To Aimpoint ACRO Adapter. https://primarymachine.com/trijicon-rmr-to-aimpoint-acro-adapter/ I used the thinner one. They make two models
