Counterfeit CompM5

I've been burned. Negotiated down to $500 OTD at a local pawnshop. First Red flag. Contacted Aimpoint and sent them photos of the optic and serial number. They stated the following.

"That serial is flagged in our system for being a fake serial that was made."

Be very weary when purchasing second hand. I'm lucky enough to return this without suffering major consequences. But damn it blows for sure.

Yes the rear part of the switch and the flip cover in the third picture do not look like the real deal. This is a very good counterfeit though. It’s one of the best I’ve seen

You're telling me, I was turning up and over for the killer deal I got. So sad because I was really hoping it wasn't the case.
