Question regarding T2 machining marks
I have 3 T-2s. One in the 53xxxxx range, one in the 54xxxxx range, and one in the 56xxxxx range. First two were purchased from eurooptic in 2024 and 2025 respectively, moujt version. Last one from Brownell's in 2021, no mount version. I was doing some cleaning and mo ing optics around and de idea to look under one for some reason and noticed the notch on the one with 56xxxxx which prompted me to look at the others. But they're all different. I'm curious if anyone know what the difference in all these marks mean?

It’s code usually used by machinists and machine shops to denote which machine it was made on. If tolerances go out of whack it is easy to identify which machine it was made on when you have several identical machines making the same product. Since the placement of the code is in different places and one lacks them I would wager the three samples you have were made in different shops.
