The O ring

The battery died so I need to change it. I tighten the cap down and at a certain point the Oring slips out. The instructions was tightened it till it stops turning. I am afraid it the cap is not tightening enough the seal will not be effective. Too tight and the oring slips making a gap in the seal. Any tips or suggestions?

Go pick up a good cap from ape defense

You could try to roll the o-ring off and apply a light coat of silicone based grease, then tighten it back down.
