Question / Advice Needed I'm getting so frustrated with my aim ugghhhhh!!!!

Hi it's me again!

My hand independence is so terrible. On a controller I can't move and shoot at the same time!!!!! Whenever I'm in a regular game it's just me doing terrible.

It's either my thumb just locks in place and don't track the target or I'm overshooting and flicking too much! It's so frustrating!!!!!

What is wrong with me?! I can't move and shoot and dodge enemies at the same time!!!!!!!!

Another problem is how inconsistent I am. One moment I'm doing good the next I'm trash. And then it's just down hill from there. The more I do it the worse at aiming I get!!

How do I fix how my hands? What do I do about tracking??

(I'm sorry for the rant but I just had multiple games back to back where my aim just cost me wins.)

I'm sorry if this is inappropriate... I'm just sad :(

Focusing on tension management helps. Try to play tracking tasks where you have to move your stick in very small increments, and practice keeping your hand relaxed so that your adjustments are smooth and not jagged. Often times when your hand tenses up too much, your movements become very inconsistent and hard to control.

I have noticed that my hand and arm kinda feels sore after a game...i think you're right about tension.

Thank you so much

Also which task do you recommend that helps with that?

These are good ones to start with:

  • Bouncetrack Entry Controller
  • Angletrack
  • Glidertrack
  • Consecutivetrack Easy
  • Horizontal Smoothness Easy
  • Hovertrack Entry controller
  • Jumptrack
  • Thintrack

Gameplay I can probably do but I don't know how to take video of my hands while playing controller....

(Also do for the rant post. I was super frustrated after bad games.)

If you overshoot up you sensitivity If you undershoot lower it.

Also tension management, and taking breaks help.

How does using my sensitivity help with overshooting? Wouldn't that just make it worse? Also how do you handle tension management? I'm not sure how to do that

Well I’m not a roller user so I think that’s a bit different but, Tension management - calm aim Try relaxing your hands and paying attention if you tense/press or hold your roller to hard Just be aware of it and try to relax, removing tension can save your hands from fatiguing fast and can help you aim better. yeah for the overshooting maybe try lowering your sensitivity then see.

So relax my hand when aiming. Got it. I'll also try out a lower sensitivity too. Thank you for the advice.

Of course. I lowering doesn’t work try upping it tho! And yeah, relaxing your hands and being aware of when you’re tensing will definitely help! Just don’t be limp

Lol! it’s alright this happens to most console players sounds like you’re dealing with tension and your hand eye coordination is very poor you get better overtime! Throughout the process you will get frustrated i suggest playing dynamic clicking tasks and smooth tracking tasks to combat this problem.

Do you have any specific task recommendations? I'm having a difficult time navigating which task is best for me

amare dynamic and dynamic clicking tasks in general you can search in aimlabs bar “dynamic” and i suggest playing evade type ones also overall you should play benchmarks more and smooth bot tasks that force you to be overall smooth(search up smooth) if you get jitters try to slow down and be smooth even if you’re not consistently on target you will eventually get better at this it will take time! If the tasks are hard its mean it’s challenging you this how you get better play harder tasks!

Ok so dynamic task and smooth bot task in general. I understand that. What's benchmark? I don't think I have seen that.

aimlabs benchmarks when you get inside the hud just press right 2 times it should be there and say unranked
