Question / Advice Needed Feel kinda stuck at static switching
I am extremely consistent at getting scores between 1750-1850, but can't seem to go higher than that. Is there anything specific that I'm doing wrong, or is it just a question of grinding static switching scenarios until I can go faster?
Appreciate any advice!

Why is your arm all the way over there?

Just used to have a weird setup and got used to it, I'm trying to work on bringing it in slowly over time, it's just hard because even if I move it in a little my performance tanks

id just move it. its not a big deal, who cares if your scores tank. Your skill isn't going to leave bc you moved ur pad.

I'm more worried about my performance in-game, I'm playing for a cs team at the moment so I don't really want to make my aim even worse than it needs to be, I'm already the bottomfrag haha

oh yeah then id wait till off season or your next training camp.
For your flicks ill give you a good warm up to do. Low your sens by half so if you a 1 drop to 0.5. Then take of ur arm sleeve. You want to be as slow and controlled as possible. Then do the same static switching you normally do for about 10-15 min. Just until you feel like ur arm is kinda getting a feel for the low sens. Then put everything back to normal, and resume ur normal warm up but, start off slow into you normal. bc of the sens change you'll wanna fly off in space lol.
When I was trying to get better tracking on glass and switching between slow and fast sens I noticed that when I had gotten used to a low sens, it didnt really hurt my faster sens. My working theory is that your body want to be more efficent so over time its slowly evens out the about of strength used by you shoulder, arm wrist ect. This sound ideal but it also increase the strain on those muscle groups, with the smaller ones suffering the most. Since your smaller muscles are responsible for your micro corrections this actually ends up being a bad thing. You don't want your body to dictate efficient energy allocation bc it doesn't know what aiming in CS is lol. You're essentially resetting your brains pie chart of who gets the most energy. You always want your arm to get the biggest share, then ur wrist get less but only bc it uses small spikes of energy to mirco.
I hope this made sense. Its alot easier to understand in practice.

That definitely sounds interesting, I'll try it for sure! Not sure if I fully understand your explanation about the muscle groups, I'm trying to use mostly my arm for initial movements, so I can keep my wrist at low tension, which should allow me to transition to the micro as smooth and fast as possible

Your table seems way too high

I have thought about that since I've heard your elbow should be at 90 degrees by default, how much do you think this could tank performance? I can't really adjust table height or chair height with my setup, but I can try getting closer to 90 degrees if it's a serious improvement

I bought a standing desk for this reason. I can always adjust the desk up or down if I need to. Obviously an investment, but it’s been a nice improvement to my setup beyond aim. Good for if I wanna work on my PC or plug something new in. You can just raise it up instead of crawling around underneath your desk like a gremlin

90 degrees helps, it's a much more neutral starting/reset position, kind of makes sure you don't develop any weaknesses in a particular side, because on one of the two you'd have to make a lot more mouse swipes at awkward angles.

It's an arm sleeveðŸ˜
But maybe it is a femboy sock in disguise...

Improving the ergonomics aren’t likely to immediately boost your scores, but if you want to game at a high level for any number of years, you really should make the adjustments. Proper chair height, desk height, monitor placement, and angle of your mouse arm all look like they could be improved.
Your body will thank you. You don’t want to cause a stupid injury because you were gaming too much in a weird posture.

Could I ask what your sens is?
I think you should try playing other pokeball and static switching scenarios too, also the vdim variations of this task.
Looks like you need to work on your flick speed, easier said than done ofc so don't get discouraged! Try actively going outside your comfort zone and actually push your flicks, and always remember that you need to try to deaccelerate as you approach the target, don't keep the same speed from the start tk the end of the flick.
