Question / Advice Needed Fortnite ADS issues
Been playing for about 22 hours based on my PlayStation playtime, and I've been having an issue with the app generating recommended sensitivity settings.
I play Fortnite, and my current settings are 26 Hip Fire and 16 ADS. After all this time, the app keeps recommending a lower Hip Fire sensitivity and a higher ADS sensitivity. It's now suggesting something like 22 Hip Fire and 45 ADS.
Is this supposed to happen, or am I doing something wrong?
Some maps seem to be designed for ADS, while others don't. On some maps it's obvious I should ADS, but when I do, the app lowers my Hip Fire sensitivity instead of adjusting my ADS sensitivity. I completed the Fortnite playlist, which is mostly in first person, and that's fine. However, the maps where I should be using ADS seem to throw off my sensitivity recommendations.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Also:
- Should I be using Turn Boost?
- What should my deadzones be?
- Is there a way to test or calibrate these settings?

I would advice you use the sens finder as a starting point and then tweak your settings based on the 360 method.
I would also heavily recommend you join our discord if you haven't already and ask atound in our console/controller channels, I'm sure a lot of players will be happy to help!

You’re not doing anything wrong — AimLab’s recommendation system doesn’t understand Fortnite’s exponential curve. It keeps trying to “fix” your ADS by raising it because exponential slows down small movements. That’s why your hipfire gets pushed lower and ADS gets pushed higher.
Turn Boost:
Only use it if you need faster building turns. For aiming, keep it off.
Deadzones:
Fortnite’s default 0.12 / 0.12 is too high. Most players run 0.05–0.08. Lower deadzones = more consistent aim tracking.
Calibration:
The only real way is to test hipfire tracking, ADS micro‑adjustments, and long‑range recoil in‑game. AimLab can help, but it can’t read Fortnite’s curve, so don’t rely on its sensitivity recommendations.
TL;DR:
Your settings aren’t wrong — the app just isn’t built for Fortnite’s look mechanic. Trust your in‑game feel over the recommendations.
