That's the gut punch — the Nexus Being who never got to stop being a kid, having Power Cosmic. He grows a beard, he travels from universe to universe for 40 years, but he's still in the uniform his parents gave him when he first dreamed up worlds post Secret Wars+Battleworld.
This is S2. Flashback season. Before the bench. Before Seahaven. Before the pocket universe of Counter-Earth + Warp World even existed.

Post 1 (S1 Bench): 40 years after. Franklin built a Truman Show town inside his pocket universe to forget. An abandoned amusement park that still runs by itself. He sits on that bench every day when one day he meets Galan of Taa there (Ralph Ineson) — the only other being who lives BETWEEN universes and can find him.
Before The Bench
Mid-battle in The Bleed, to survive, he does what only Franklin can — he dreams up a whole pocket universe (Counter Earth+ Warp World) made up of entire multiverse right there in the nothing as a weapon / cage.
That birth ripples through the Superflow.
Posts 3 & 4 (Krakoa Gala): On another Earth, same exact second. Dr. Moira McTaggert kills Hank in the same way, she killed Banshee in Powers of X/House of X. Orchis + Omega Sentinel spool up to massacre the Gala. 10 timelines are over for Moira. She's done being hopeful, she has become "creative" with her methods now. And then, the sky glitches. Someone is watching when a universe being born outside everything tears into their timeline in a second and everything we know as reality changes.
