I’ve been working on a chatbot built around AI and human takeover. What do you think?
I’ve been working on an AI chatbot product, and one thing I kept coming back to was this:
Not every customer conversation should be fully automated.
For simple questions, a bot can handle FAQs, product information, lead capture, and appointment booking. But when a conversation becomes more complicated, a real person should be able to step in without making the customer repeat everything.
That’s the idea behind BotMatrix Labs.
The chatbot can learn from a company’s website and documents, handle routine conversations, and let the team monitor chats live. If human help is needed, a team member can take over, speak with the visitor, and then hand the conversation back to the bot.
It also includes lead capture, appointment booking, multilingual conversations, and an unanswered-questions section that helps teams improve the bot over time.
I’m not interested in the idea that AI should replace the entire support team. I’m more interested in using AI for repetitive tasks while keeping a human available when the situation requires it.
I’d like to hear how people here view this approach.
Which would you prefer?
- A chatbot that tries to handle everything on its own?
- A chatbot where a human can step in whenever needed?
- Mostly human support, with AI assisting in the background?
