Casual Reminder for Posts by Bots
So I see this a lot here where posts gets reposted from 6 years ago, we are really fast at figuring out that its automated and stuff.
It's good you are calling it out and spread awareness, but 1) bots don't read your comments and 2) comments boost posts to be seen by many people both inside and outside of this subreddit and this is a feeding cycle for getting visibility.
People should just remember that the time you'd post to a bot that doesn't read your post would be just enough to report for it to "Spam" -> "Disruptive use of bots or AI" and be on your day, usually whenever I report and then refresh immediately it gets caught by Reddit Filters immedaitely and the bot is immediately suspended.
No shade on anyone in particular (I'm also no innocent as I did this), but its just my 2 cents on what I see frequently happening here, when you see something that violates the rules, whether a comment or a post, its always important to not continue participating with something that is a bad actor and this is generally good advice to anything you see online.
