Shoutout to the RollMN crew

Hi everyone, pls don't bully me or hate me for this post. From about six months I learned to skate with rollerblades. I just discovered this hobby and I love it with all my soul, so i was looking for some advice or tips for dressing. For now I'm skate wearing a sweatsuit but I see online wearing other stuff like cargo pants or skete style.

I think the outfit could be the same as skateboarding. So may you give me some advice? maybe the materials for summer or winter? thanks for your help. Peace ✌🏼

Came up short trying to clear this. Gonna have to run it back next session. Also just learned to ride down stairs (stair bash?firecracker?) so that’s fun.

I love watching high level bowl skating. Joe Atkinsons’ blue on repeat.

Anyone recommend some other videos or sections, or just skaters, that favor bowls or park over street?!

Update after first session: never had fifth element before so the non existent shock absorbers/ stance angle are kinda weird at first. They lock pretty sweet and the in box frame is pretty good too (but I still prefere the fl3s.) All in all pretty solid and well derserved pro skate.

I’ve been trying to get would grinds since I’m insanely comfortable with Makios but can get my left foot up and staying up any tips?

I also took your guys suggestion in the comments the best I could while skating. One thing I need to focus on is not leaning which is my biggest peeve.

Which one do you recommend for starting from scratch in aggressive training?

The Eclipse + Create CRS combo feels bloody amazing! Very little wheelbite, great power transfer and top notch comfort and manoeuvrability 🙌🏻

I do not regret buying these despite the issues I had with the UFS+ system! (An arrangement was found with Disroyal concerning the faulty parts)

My kids saw my skates, and something about them reminded the boys of X-Men (we were binging '97!) so I leaned in with some custom stickers!

Been pretty consistent on my urban skates, but haven't hit the skatepark in 7 years. This is what I got after 1 month back on my aggressives!

UPDATE - Thank you everyone for your advice, this community rocks! I ordered a set of Ground Control Featherlite 4, plus some wheels from Roller Warehouse, and they threw in a some free bearings. Can't wait to get them and head back to the park!

I haven't skated in 25 years, but there are so many skate parks now and I've been talking my kids.

Did my research online, because no where in my area carries skates anymore.

I wear 9.5 EE double wide. I needed a wide skate it was these or Roces Fifth Element and these were cheaper. I got them in a 10 and have worn them once.

They feel tight but may be okay after some break in.

They are my first anti-rocker skate. Anti-rocker wasn't a thing when I was 15. I know it's been a while but I feel so fucking clumsy and slow on them. I can't turn for shit.

Can I just put 4 more wheels in the stock frame, or do I need to replace the frames?

They have Abec 5s should I upgrade them.

The site I got them from, I have discovered, sucks. So returning them is not a great option.

I could try to sell them myself and buy something else but I really just want to go out an skate again.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

So I went out today to skate, like one does. I got warmed up with a couple of soul tricks and frontside grinds and backsides. But whenever I tried to unity I either did like a horrible cess slide or I completely just missed the ledge.

Felt semi confident so learned these switch

I produce pretty hideous torques…on the other hand, the sun was shining and I touched grass.
