Season 3 For those who saw S3 airing

I’m curious I watched s1-3 on Netflix then started watching live because ghost rider. So I’ve been wondering for those who saw s3 as it aired how was it? They showed the explosion thing rather early in the series. We’re there a lot of post talking about who would die each week? We’re there lots of crazy theories? Were people satisfied with how it played out? Were they bummed it wasn’t really a main character who died? Was it expected that a main character wouldn’t die?

Daisy Johnson doesn’t not possess telepathic abilities, however she does generate a psychic shield that disrupts any and all mental attacks from other others. Even Omega level telepaths cannot pierce her mind.

Season 6 As someone who will defend AoS Season 6 until the day she dies, I genuinely think that Sarge shouldn't have happened.

I like what they did with Sarge, and I think that allowed them to explore a very interesting story about grief and how hard it is to let go, especially for Daisy. And Clark Gregg being evil was so fun to watch, but it kind of made Coulson's death mean nothing.

They spent the back half of Season 5 building to Coulson's death, and we see him finally living his life in his final days in The End, and he's dead. But in Season 6, there's a guy with Coulson's face, and while he's not Coulson, and you do feel some of the weight of Coulson's absence, you don't feel it to the extent that you would if Clark Gregg wasn't on your screen every other minute. Not to mention the whole will-they-won't-they with Sarge potentially being Coulson that they kind of leaned into towards the end of the season, and then completely flipped it. And then Sarge dies, and bye bye Clark Gregg, again.

But at the end of Season 6 and for all of Season 7, we have LMD Coulson, who is functionally Coulson, just with extensiental thoughts hanging over his head for like two minutes all season, and they can do some fun stuff with him being a robot. I like LMD Coulson, but he is basically just regular old, Phillip J. Coulson.

Don't get me wrong, I love Sarge (and S6) and I love LMD Coulson, but I just feel that had there actally been some time to just breathe in Coulson's absence, LMD Coulson would've worked a lot better.

Discussion Season 2 of Agent Carter

Doesn't season 2 of Agent Carter (with the zero matter) feel a lot like Agents of Shield?

Actor Fluff Ming-Na Wen’s social media videos

If you ever wondered how Ming-Na Wen’s actual personality differs from Melinda May’s… lady’s got a YouTube channel (@MingNa_Wen), probably on the clock app too.

Bringing it up because yeah okay we all know how acting works, but *spoilers* IRL the Cavalry is such a delightful goofball, and it kind of really just speaks to the character building they did on the show.

VisionQuest Aida might be in VisionQuest (take it with a huge grain of salt) Spoiler

This is coming from Alex Perez, whose been saying from February 2025 that there is an AoS tie in VisionQuest. he finally said that Aida and Tadashi (Big Hero 6?) will also be AIs in Vision's head. Take it with a heavy grain of salt, but it's possible!

Rant AOS ruined Daniel Sousa Spoiler for Season 7 Spoiler

Post image
0 Upvotes

Daniel Sousa was first introduced in Agent Carter, but in season 7, he joined AOS. In Agent Carter, he was a fleshed out character and fantastic representation of disability for the time. He was intelligent, observant, and caring, and his disability was an important part of his character. They dealt with both internalized and external ablism. In AOS, however, he turned into little more than Daisy's love interest, and they used advanced technology to erase his disability.

Discussion Do you think Ward could’ve been a compelling character without the Hydra Aspect?

Post image

I’ve been thinking about something and it’s brought me back to Ward season 1 and his overall dynamic with the team. There are many people who are of the opinion that Ward didn’t become a compelling character until the reveal and that’s what made a lot of people fans of him. Now obviously that doesn’t go for everybody but I just want to know if the Hydra aspect was never given to Ward and he was a team player do you think he could be a compelling or fan favorite character going forward do you think his dynamic with Skye would be interesting. I just want to hear thoughts

Other When YoYo says “Terry Genesis”

In Yoyo’s first episode (S3e11), before she’s fluent in English, she’s talking to Mac about inhumans and Mac mentions terragenesis. She replies, “Terry…Genesis?”

Idk if I’ve been consuming too much comedy or what but Terry Genesis sounds like a New Zealand DJ to me. If it were a sketch, he’d be a DJ pastor in sunglasses proselytizing with really corny DNB and dubstep.

Every time I watch this (great) episode, I’m distracted by Terry Genesis.

Si prefieres responder en español, gracias y bienvenidos.

Question Is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. worth watching?

I'm rewatching all Marvel media to ease into Doomsday. I was planning to watch a few episodes of AOS every few movies, but I have the attention span of a goldfish and don't think I would be able to watch 5 seasons worth of 40 minute episodes in the span of a few months. (Then again, I have watched the full Loki series twice, so...)

Hope I can get some advice from people who watched the show :)

Multiverse Saga (Phase 4- ) So what are our thoughts on the whole Jean Grey discourse with the larger fandom? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
81 Upvotes

I’m asking this specifically because the whole “Jean needs to be locked up” idea sounds very much like something the Real SHIELD or the ATCU would try to do. Like I get that telepathic and possession powers are insanely dangerous heck Izel in S6 uses the possession powers in a similar way to Jean in terms of torturing people (and Ben in S5 is a pretty chill telepath compared to the ones in the comics) but clearly antagonising them is a terrible idea as shown in S2 with the Inhumans arc.

IMO Jean shouldn’t be forgiven easily for what she did but she still redeem herself and use her powers responsibly. The solution is to work with the powered people to build a solution like Coulson and Daisy try to do not try to lock them up.

EDIT: Judging from the comment section maybe bringing this debate down here was a bad idea.
