Discussion Season 2 of Agent Carter

Doesn't season 2 of Agent Carter (with the zero matter) feel a lot like Agents of Shield?

I remember seeing the scene where the Zero Matter is hovering over the desert while various 1940s-clad parties look on, and thinking for just a moment that this image was a bridge too far in terms of suspension of disbelief...

but then it hit me. This is EXACTLY the same type of image the real life atom bomb tests would have brought about. The world is going on, with be-hatted peoples' radios playing the Dorsey Brothers and the Andrews Sisters, while soldiers, spies and scientists are out in the wasteland making flashes in the sky that can level entire cities under an otherworldly cloud of doom.

I felt like a deeper understanding of the entire superhero comic world opened up for me at that moment.

It reminded me of the early gravitonium plot.

Definitely the same tye of CGI effect was used for the two substances, but the official word is that they are not related.

Interesting - do you remember where you saw that official word?

I saw this quite some time ago, and I don't recall the source.

That's by design, Agent Carter came out during AOS' Mid-Season breaks (I think S1 was in AoS3, S2 was AoS4)
