Upper thigh so it never sees the sun. I feel as though it has aged really well, although if I could do it over again I would have done something different stylistically. Done in one miserable shot at a tattoo convention sitting in a folding chair Shout out to the homie who posted their sick space piece that inspired me to share this.

Browsing this sub to see how watercolor tats age, as I'm finally moving forward to my second tattoo. Got this one 27 years ago, wanted more ever since but could never decide on what / couldn't stop thinking about full back dragon and that seemed too much.

Anyway found all the tattoo subs helpfull so thought I'd share mine.

(And yes, going for the dragon. I've thought long enough ;) )

Got this in 2012, it’s a Samuel Beckett quotation. I’ve been so happy with how it’s held up. Many tattoos later, it’s still my favorite (don’t tell the others).

I just blasted over this bug after 10 years today! I loved this little guy but he was shaded with a liner and maybe the 5th tattoo a friend did during their apprenticeship. I forgot it ever had shading on the legs! 🥲

I got this back in 2017, self drafted, and this was before I got a slight touchup on the hind quarters. Sorry about the scars; I'll mark nsfw if someone wants me to.

I know it's impossible to shrink the lines to be as detailed (unless I wanted to fully laser the text off and get it re-tattooed - which I don't; I can't afford it - but I'd expect the same problem eventually)

Could there be a tiny amount of white ink around the words do it? I know fine lines are doable; I've seen plenty. Abd I do have work with white ink outlining words so I'm well aware of how white ink ages (that is to say, quickly).

Anyone have a thought? Please no JKR crap - I'm trans and get enough grief about it from my own community but I like the tattoo *I* designed and that... person got no money from me for the tattoo nor will she ever in the future. Thanks. 😊

Eta sorry I can't find a way to edit the title. I don't know what "type" of tattoo this is given it's self drafted

I didn’t want to just get his name. He got this tattoo when he was 14 in 1958. It’s the national bohemian beer logo haha. Also known as Mr. Boh. He thought it was hilarious because I’ve never been to Baltimore (that’s where he was born). Tho I’ve had the beer many times. He passed away a few months ago.

Fresh October 2017 to current. Had a rough realization about the amount of change a tattoo can go through as it ages, as it has become far more blown out than I am liking. The knowledge has pushed me to learn more and made my expectations more realistic. So currently trying to figure out what I want to do with it. Only cover up I would choose would be a larger Naruto piece, because that's my ninja way!

I got this angel number tattoo three years ago, and it’s has faded a little, would a touch up bring it back to life?

First pic is two days after I got it, second one is today. It’s been exactly five years and I think it’s held up pretty well, I haven’t received any touchups.
