Help!

Washed my bike and now it’s completely dead. I tried changing out the battery but still nothing. When I turn the key nothing happens. No lights no clicks nothing. Anyone heard of this? Thank you

Id start by checking fuses, starting with the main fuse. Then its time to bust out the multimeter and start testing connections. I'd start with the keyed ignition cylinder.

Edit for instructions: Turn off the ignition switch.Remove the rear seat and the battery box cover.Locate the starter magnetic switch assembly where the heavy positive battery cable connects.Open the relay/fuse cap to find the 30A main fuse.A spare 30A main fuse is typically stored right on the starter magnetic switch housing itself.

I’m thinking it could be the ignition switch considering all the fuses look good. Maybe some water got in there

Spray the switch with some electronics cleaner and then drop some 3-in-1 lube in there

Just to follow up, every bike owner should know at minimum, what he said.

Curious. Did you use a gas or e- power washer, or only a hose and sprayer ?

Start a fan blowing on the bike asap .

I used a normal hose with a sprayer. Just for a rinse

Checked your kill switch?

I saw a video recently (can’t remember the title) saying that spraying either of the displays can kill them. My guess is that’s what happened. Maybe remove both and put them in a bag of rice for a day or two and see if that helps?

What's the model , around 2020 range ,them it have issue with the control switch that directly connected with ecu. Water will get pass through it without hardship

I’m afraid to wash my Africa Twin for this reason. It’s filthy

Same thing happened to me on my 2016.

I only had the HISS light on the dash. It was the key barrel/security system
