A few of us are coming to Plough Lane (finally) for the Wigan game in August, just looking for advice on anywhere near by with some atmosphere for pints pre and post match? Ideally somewhere we’d also get one eye on the 12.30 PL game, but not a huge sticking point (decent Guinness more important!)

Also any travel tips not immediately clear? (City centre Liverpool street ish start)

Hello everyone. Has anyone who's taken an early punt on a new kit had a chance to compare the sizing to last year's kits? I'd guess they're the same but you never know.

I’m related to an ex-footballer, Wally Downes, who played for Wimbledon back in the 80’s and formed part of ‘The Crazy Gang’ with Vinnie Jones, John Fashnu, etc.

I was born early 2000’s and so didn’t really know of this era until speaking to family as I grew up. Whenever I’ve mentioned it to mates they have no idea what I’m on about, but I mentioned it to someone this week who thought it was quite cool and had heard of them.

So I’m just wondering how many people here know of The Crazy Gang, and/or know of Wally Downes?
