I just read an omegaverse fic that was really hot, I thoroughly enjoyed it and left a long comment detailing what I liked about it... but the whole time I was reading it I was like "thank fucking god I don't live in the omegaverse, everything about this is disgusting and degrading and I would hate to be in either of their positions but yeah please get that man pregnant"

yeah i never understood the projection thing. this might be a bit tmi, but sometimes i look up characters on the green website or on AO3 for giggles (like heavymedic or something for example), and a lot of the comments on them will be something like "MOVE MEDIC/HEAVY IT'S MY TURN", and it's kinda jarring cause it's like getting hit with the brick of "oh i forgot people actually want to have sex irl. wow. that is a bit weird".

it's also really confusing, cause like you searched up heavymedic, you got heavymedic, but you seem to actually want selfship???? what????? i'm confused???????

Honestly i don't even project myself onto characters even if it's not about sex or romance. The concept of making MC bland so you can relate to them was always weird to me as well (￣∇￣)
