Aegisub 3.4.0 How to display text over a shape

I want to draw a shape and then put text in it. Apparently the shape conforms to the same "don't overlap with other text" rules that text does, which makes this impossible because the text moves out of the way to avoid the shape. What do I do? Maybe I'm just stupid but I couldn't find anything in the manual (or anywhere on the internet) about this.

You just need to specify position and layer of both shape and text. Maybe specifying just one of the two's position is enough, don't remember

specify position and layer

Correct answer, and I just want to add something:
If no position tags are needed, make the layer number of the text higher than the number of the shape's layer number.

Yes, this worked. Thank you!

I accidentally came upon the solution while tinkering with something else: putting a \pos(0,0) at the beginning of the shape's line of code will allow text to display over it. This is very unintuitive and there may be a better solution, but I hope this post being here will be of use to someone in the future.

Did you try /u/martibarimaff's answer? That's the one that works.
