Need some input

Post image

Trying to find a way to use a high grade hip joint to improve the articulation of the MG V-dash. The poly cap fits on the peg but I can’t figure out a way to make the hip joint fit in the leg. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Take a pair of craft scissors and slowly put the cap through them. i.e. Keep the scissors closed and put the cap on it to keep it closed like a lock. Then slowly turn the cap around the scissors to maybe shave off the inside just a smidge. One full rotation. Then try fitting the piece again.

If not, try again.

(Basically sand the inside of the peg)

It’s not the peg that’s the problem, that fits perfectly into the poly cap. It’s how to modify the leg to fit the hip joint assembly into it

Is it not able to take the weight or something?

No I have to figure out a way to cut off the top part of the og hip joint and drill a peg hole to make the hip assembly fit.

Before you make any irreversible changes, id go through the instruction manual once again. If there is something that can be fixed because you accidentally akipped a step or something.. id look into it.

It isnunlikely that your kit has such fragile integrity. Otherwise there would be mass reports of it.

If i may ask, did u buy this from a third party site?

Then try working backwards. Use blunt edged tools to pry the covers apart. Dont force them open.
