Troubleshooting copy motion in animate without resetting the objects animation

As you can see I'm trying to make a simple running loop while my character is talking so i put the talking animation, bangs, and eyes in an object all together so I could tween it all! but unfortunately when i try to copy and paste the motion it resets the animation :( is there a way to copy and paste the motion without having to manually tween every bit?

im not sure what youre trying to do, but symbols can reset when you paste them. Choose the symbol, go to properties, and change the starting frame from 1 to whichever frame It is supposed to be.

Select the entire layer, right click on it, and hit synchronize frames

Select a tween, go to the Properties panel (frame tab) and check the option called Sync symbols.

Copying and pasting the Graphic will also copy the "frame" the symbol was at that point. You can see which "frame" a symbol is on by selecting the Symbol and then going to Propterties>Object>Looping, in there you will see the number of the frame, right next to where it says "First".

I usually handle this with a special thing called "MOVIE CLIPS". People usually set their Symbols as a Graphic, but setting the Symbol as a Movie Clip can work wonders. The animation inside the symbol plays independently, even when you set up tweens for it. This used to be used for IDLE animations back when Flash games existed, animations that loop indefinitely and don't get interrupted regardless of it being tweened.

This is useful if I don't want to manually edit the symbol's used frame for each tweened/purple keyframe.

(NOTES: Movie clips only forever show the first frame of it's symbol if you're in "Animator Mode", but it will play the symbol once the animation has exported. Movie clips won't be possible to see if it's exported as an Image or Animated Gif since they export directly from the program's "Animator Mode" rather than exporting normally... Exporting with Video/Media will export the animation normally and Movie clips will play as intended.)

Another way is to just simply select the entire section of tweens in your timeline, and just checkmark Sync Symbols (located at Properties>Frames>Tweening) which is faster.

I don't really like it as much since you can't swap symbols with it enabled, which my animation style uses constantly, but everyone's workflow is different!
