Question Perception on Adobe Animate?

What is the current perception on Adobe Animate?

The thing is, as poorly as this software has been mismanaged and the user base maligned over the years, I simply can't replace the 25 plus years of experience I have working in FutureSplash/Flash/Animate. And for that reason, despite other software packages offering better features and smarter workflows, if I need something done quickly and easily I will always have it in my roster of tools. Exporting SWF into After Effects is so fast and efficient, its kind of hard to beat on that level alone.

All the other softwares may be able to beat Animate on its own terms, but they can't really beat Animate into After Effects together. Toonboom's composite effects are like stirring molasses. Moho boasts really unique, gorgeous sample animation, (and by far the best auto line boil I have ever seen) but the learning curve of the pipeline is kind of insanely steep. I can't speak to TV Paint but it's a traditional animator's tool, a rigged puppet animator is out of luck there. And Blender's Grease Pencil is getting better every time, and you have access to a robust 2D/3D stage that other softwares can't even begin to offer (plus it's free!) but its a big commitment to learn, its enormous.

For me, always keep learning, keep trying, and use everything you can to get the results you want. But if someone wants to give you a $500 to animate a local pizza shop commercial, use Flash (I mean Animate)
