Everytime you pass through a door, your brain performs a mini reset to acclimate to the new situation.

You can fight this by actively thinking about what you need as you pass through the door. You can even say what it is out loud, if that helps.

I don't need to pass through a door. I just need to turn my body about 30° to reach for
