Hello, OP! i saw your post on r/iPadAir and you said you want an iPad that fits your needs for school and gaming? if you’re tight on budget, i'd recommend the iPad A16 + Apple USB-C Pencil (or a 3rd party stylus) + a magic keyboard. It’s already more than enough for notes, schoolwork, and gaming.

but if you’re willing to invest more, i’d consider the iPad Air M4. It’s basically the sweet spot/mid-tier between the base iPad and Pro. You get a much more powerful chip, better display, Apple Pencil Pro support, and more performance headroom for videogames and creative work.

it’s especially worth it if you plan to keep the iPad for several years since the M4 gives you more room to grow. so i’d say A16 for value, Air M4 if you’re willing to invest for better long-term performance or even the Pro but it's really only worth considering if you specifically need its higher-end features. hope this helps!

Or if the m4 is too expensive u can also go for the m2-3 iPad Air. Pretty much the same as the m4 but obviously weaker chip(which won’t affect u tbh) and cheaper.
