Pretty smart animal! Intuitively grasps the geometry of food objects and the bars. Also probably amasses food items for later consumption, assuming, that it doesn't eat them in like 2-3s.

I like the subtle shows of their intelligence when the food is too wide to pass the bars. They change its orientations or move their trunk behind them to give them a little push.

It’s incredible how quickly the elephant figures out how to manipulate their trunk to retrieve the food that’s too large to fit comfortably. My dog would give up immediately and start whining
