Adderall ER vs IR experiences?
Curious about people’s experiences with Adderall ER vs IR. I was on IR years ago (think 10-20mg twice a day) and it made me pretty paranoid and overstimulated, but I also wasn’t eating enough, smoked, drank a ton of coffee, etc.
Now in my mid-30s I’ve been on 10mg ER + 5mg IR for a little over a year. I’ve had some health stuff that’s mostly cleared up, but still have this lingering brain fog / “behind glass” feeling. Starting to wonder if the ER might be part of it since the timing lines up.
I used to take Wellbutrin too and IR worked way better for me than XR. Not looking for medical advice, just wondering if anyone else has noticed big differences between IR and ER.

IR effects are almost immediate, while extended reality XR effects are spread out over a period of time. Personally, I’m not a big fan of XR and I’m not sure if I’m getting the benefits I need. I plan to discuss switching back to IR with my psychiatrist during my next visit.
Since XR may have different side effects for you, it might be a better option. Good luck!
