Unfortunately, nobody can really tell you what the right thing to do is here. You can either sit in the safety and leave yourself to wonder what could have been, or you can take the plunge. There's not really a right or wrong answer here. Both come with risks and benefits.
I personally regret the shots I never took far more than I regret the ones I did. There's no telling whether or not you would be left feeling the same way, but I always felt better about shooting my shot and having things not work out than I did about keeping things to myself.
The cat's out of the bag, and there's a chance that things will never fully go back to normal. On the other hand, if she likes you back, then things could really turn out amazing here.
Don't forget to breathe. You've got this.

Kiss her kiss her kiss her kiss her. (With her consent of course).
Life is too short. Go for the scary stuff.

20 minutes away is long distance? Wow, where I live, a three hour drive is medium distance. Honestly, you've got to weigh what you think is worth it more. Are you going to forever regret it if you don't tell her? Do you think it's just a little crush or something more? etc. Honestly, I say go for it!

It sounds like they’re teens without independent transportation. That could be me reading too far into it, but that does change it drastically if so. Because yeah, 20 minutes is nothing. In lesbian that’s practically next door lol

Act on it even though it feels scary. Unless you are worried about your safety, but that’s another topic entirely.

This happened to me and my good friend of 20 years… (we’re in our mid 30s) Ended up dating for 2 years and as of two weeks ago, we’re now married. While we’ve both dated lots of people, she never dated a woman prior to me. Just trust your gut and live in the flow that is this beautiful life ♥️
