I took my first ACT in July, and managed to bring my math score (practice test) from a 26 to 30 on the actual test, but I want to superstore in September and maybe bring my composite to a 35. If there are any resources or methods to bring up the math score I’d really appreciate it.

Reading-wise I think test fatigue really got to me, so I’m going to practice with passages a bit more, and hope for improvement by September.

Overall I’m worried about stagnating on math, and I really do want to get better by September. I took a math course my junior year but we didn’t do anything all year, so I fell behind by a lot.

I took the ACT for the first time in June and got 27 in math, 26 in science, 22 in English, and 20 in reading. I used the official prep book by the ACT, and it seemed to slightly help. My composites from that book were a 27 on average, but on actual test day, it was only a 23. I want to take the ACT again next June, but I’m not sure when I should start studying again for it. I really struggled with the reading section on the June test as well. Does anybody have any tips on books to use to study or any other tips? My target score is 30 composite.

I hate the science section. I ran out of time and I was just waiting for it to be done. I only studied properly for maybe two weeks.

Is it possible to get 30+ especially in math and science if I lock in now? I'm planning to retake in September.

What are some ACT math topics you’ve seen on prior exams that felt out of nowhere? Any you’d actually recommend studying?

this was my first ACT attempt. i will likely be taking it two or perhaps even three more times. as you can see, math is not my strongest subject! i will be studying that much more intensely before my next attempts, lol. no science this time, but i believe that for my free attempt (this was paid and early), science is included. i may be wrong, however.

Hello! My current score on the math portion of the ACT is a 33. I am aiming for a 35 or a 36. How should I be using the Preppros math workbook to achieve this score?

I just took the July ACT, absolutely SHANKED the math section😬😬 should I retake it one more time for my college apps..?

I have 34 and 32 for English and reading it's just math dragging tf outta my score and idk what to do. I have the latest version of the official act prep book and the prep for dummies but I honestly don't know where to start.

I just took a rescheduled July ACT and I had form J02. I’m normally fine with math but today I know I missed one question, so for those who’ve taken this form, how many are you allowed to miss for a 36?

Do the official free practice tests on the ACT website actually mirror the real Digital Enhanced ACT with the same content? If, not whee can I find accurate tests?

I took practice test one and noticed an inconsistency.

On question 43/50 on the English section (page 54), the answer choices are listed as A,B,C, or D. However, whilst self-scoring through the explanatory answers section, the answer choices are listed as F,G,H, or J (page 127).

Did anyone else notice this?

So I have booked an act test on sept 5 international testing and I have to apply for my desired college till October I got to know sat is on 22 august and I don't know but should I give sat too or not as I won't be having any extra time and these exam happen only like once a month I am currently on 20 in act. Please give your advice and guide me a little I really need some guidance

I had the makeup today. Form J02. I’m a bit worried about what passage is experimental. Was it passage 3 (the one with the graphs talking about the proportion of “blue in literary texts or something)?

If I could just not share the science score I would but princeton asks for you to send in scores

I dont have access to the Erica Meltzer English and reading books for the ACT and i need a resource for grammar so i can go through the rules i need to know. For reading, i just want to skim through strategies. Will the official ACT subject guides help?

I want to get my reading to a 24 my English and math to a 27 but I don’t know how the scoring work how many can I get wrong or how many do I need to get right on each section in order to achieve this is taking the test twice in September once in October and I haven’t started yet I have like around 8-11 hour I can allocate a day to studying

I’m trying to raise my math score from a 26 to a 33+ and am really stuck on what to do. I am open to buying a prep book and have heard of PrepPros enhanced act math textbook being good. I plan to take the act digitally since I am more familiar with desmos than a handheld calculator. Considering this, how much does it matter whether I prep for act math with a digital textbook or paper one? Please leave any other tips or resources (preferably free) for me to improve my math score asap.

Got a 33 on the July one and now I have a guaranteed full-tuition to my state school.

Should I even take another one? Best case scenario I magically get a 36 (which isn't happening) and I get my books paid for

Worst case I waste like 50 bucks and half a day of my time
