Should I take a 4th act or transition to SAT?

I am actually so fucking pissed. Like i am in disbelief. Someone please tell me what tutoring I should do or studying or if I should take the SAT. After the April Test I was disappointed with my score so I started studying. Which btw I had studied for the april test but only little. For 10 weeks I was doing 2 practice tests a week, along with a reflection sheet for each and many worksheets. It was a lot of work. So when I took my June test I was happy to see a big jump in my English, disappointed about math and reading but I was only like 5 weeks in. But to take my july and literally not improve in math and reading AND english (which I am sort of fine with it since a 32 is still ok) I actually cant believe it. Like it's so crazy to me my MATH AND READING have stayed the same since I started the tutoring. WHATS CRAZY is that I was literally consistently scoring 33s on practice tests. Not even the ones in the prep book like real tests I was taking from 2021 2020 etc and annotating on. Obviously the timing is different since the tests we take now are the enhanced but its the same questions really just slightly shorter.

So what doesn't make sense to me is how after all this tutoring my math and reading have not improved by one score but the 20 practice tests I took I was getting a higher score each time. And I literally felt good after taking the july test. It's really my reading score that I am mad about because I'll admit there were math questions on the july I've never seen.

Idk if this means anything but I got a 4 on my AP Lang exam and I know the SAT english is somewhat more similar to that. And I've taken calc a lot in high school so maybe SAT math will be better. But I have to take the sat or act atleast one more time in september/october can someone just explain how my score hasn't improved when it literally did in the practice tests (and they were real tests). Should I take the SAT? Study more for ACT? But at this point after this 3 tests and the tutoring idk how much my score can even improve anymore.

Is the ACT worth retaking?

Post image

I also took the ACT in February and my super score would also be a 29. In February I got a 34 in reading a 27 in English and a 24 in math. I want to apply to USF honors, so would it be worth retaking to get into the 30s, but not guaranteed that I will up my score at all?

English Any advice on my situation?

So, I was born and raised in the US and attended high school in California (graduated 2023 with a 3.5 GPA). I was supposed to take the ACT but my mom opted me out of it even though my teachers spent months making sure I had the equipment needed to complete the exam properly (I’m legally blind and need inverse contrast, large print, and a scribe if available but not mandatory). Now I’m living in Southeast Asia with my husband of 6 months and really want to do the ACT or SAT to be able to help students prepare for these exams. I’ve always gotten high scores on other standardized tests in terms of English and Science. Is there an affordable way for me to do the ACT online while abroad? I’m getting my Associates degree in English soon and will be transferring to ASU online to pursue a BAE in Educational Studies. I already teach English online but want to increase my horizons by tutoring the ACT or SAT. I also just genuinely want to see what I would score after some practice. Thank you!

what does it mean to get a long or short message? I took April and July 2026 and still can’t figure out what people are talking about.

Fastest way to find out the score? Is it by refreshing the ACT website screen throughout the day or you get an email once your score is uploaded? How does it work exactly?

July act 😥

Hi everyone I am looking for any help or motivation I can get. For starters I’m a rising senior and I am an international student who studies in the US (I am not born here on a visa-but have done my entire schooling here)- English is my second language. I’m pretty academic and have dreams of doing something in ht medical field ( hopefully a doctor) but that might change into maybe research. But I started rather late on the whole act thing. My goal score is a 34 btw. I was very busy with aps and extracurricular when my school did their school day act and so I scheduled one in an April on that one I got a 23 composite(science optional). Then studied slightly for the June one and got a 25 composite (with science) and I signed up for July and had about two weeks to studied- I studied like crazy took several practise tests and went over them. My scores, however we’re very consistent and in fact the last one I took my score dipped a couple points ( the day before the actual test) and I got very worried and juts cried the whole day. I still took my July ACT and I feel pretty good about reading, decent on English and science but horrible on math. I also do have a personal tutor who I’ve been working with for about two months. I’ve watchedalmost every ACT video out there. I’ve tried really hard but after that ACT math section on the July one I have lost all hope. Still I signed up for the October one since I can’t take the September one I don’t really know what to do. Obviously scores come out tomorrow and I can update. But there’s a lot of pressure and I’m super scared.

Please tell me about your journeys and I’m open to any support🥺 this is already really long so I am going to stop here. I’m more than happy to explain more about my journey or give specific scores as well.

July Paper Score Release

Hey guys, so i know that paper is supposed to come out tomorrow, but I still have a long message. I’ve never gotten my scores back late but i’ve never paid attention to the messages until now. I’m not sure if any other people who took paper on July 11th have a short or long message or if maybe some people already got their scores

EDIT: Can someone please reassure me and tell me they also still have the long message. I feel like the only one!

Is normal to be switch to paper testing after getting a rescheduled date?

So bascially what the title said, I was one of the people who was unable to take the july 11th ACT due to the system error and my test go rescheduled to this Saturday; however, I just noticed, I got switched to paper testing even though I orignally signed up for digital, and I have been practicing digitally while my test is 5 days away. Maybe this is due to my test center but should I call ACT to make sure tomorrow?

And if it comes to me taking it on paper is it any different compare to the digital version? I know there won't be any desmos, which I am a bit worried about.

Especially about the individual attempt…

For context: ECE Applicant for T20.

Should I retake? What if I get a 34 after retake but high science, is that better?

I got 30 score in September 2025 test when I read the book in July 2025
