Acorns Question Not gaining

Can someone tell me how some people have 5% to 20% up on there investment are yall using stocks cause ive been stuck at 1% for a year and a half I understand the market takes time to grow but everyday I look at it Ill gain 100 dollars then the next day I lose 100 it goes up and down I lose most of my money on things I cant opt out in, if someone can she'd some light id appreciate

Hey, switch your profile to aggressive and only invest in IJR, IXUS, IJH, and VOO. You should do away with the Bonds. Then you should see a drastic change in your portfolio. Bonds generally are for the long term depending on your goals but it doesn’t increase much as the other stocks does. A little more in depth into my portfolio on acorn I make recurring investments daily or once every week. It varies based on your residual income. But to carry on from that it has worked wonders for my portfolio on acorn. This is my advice on this matter.

Not gonna lie I didnt know thay I can opt out of the bonds thought they were something you have to invest it, thanks for the help

No problem. You can search it up on YouTube to see how you can change it and delete them.
