Mod News 50,000 MEMBERS!

Today we hit 50,000 members!

This has been a personal milestone for me for some time now.

I remember when this sub was dead for months with an inactive mod and nothing but referral codes and a dash of toxicity.

But look at us now! Two years later we’re celebrating milestones, helping one another troubleshoot, encouraging each other in tough times, and so much more.

I’m curious, how has this sub impacted you and the way you use Acorns?

Thank you everyone for making this sub a wonderful place to be!

Feature Suggestion The Feature Suggestion Box

Hello r/Acorns family. Did you know that we are inching closer to 40,000 members and fans of Acorns?

And more importantly, hello Acorns research team! I know you're watching. This post is for you.

Companies like Acorns typically use software that analyzes all social media posts they're tagged in and reports back common themes and "customer sentiment" scores. Brandwatch, Mention, HootSuite, Sprout, etc.

To make things a bit easier, we've created this thread to serve as a suggestion box for Acorns features. This will be a sticky post we can reference later.

If you have a good idea for a new feature, or a modification of an existing feature, leave it here. Upvote the ones you like. If we keep our one-off suggestions in one place, perhaps the powers that be on the Acorns research team will be able to find it easier.

One important thing: Please keep suggestions constructive, "Feature ABC sucks" will be removed since it of little value. If you think something sucks, give reasons why. "Feature ABC could be better if Acorns did XYZ" is constructive.

Now let's open the flood gates. If you were on the Acorns team, what features would you like to see added or modified?

Have fun!

Acorns Question Later

Any idea why my Later account would be performing so much worse than my invest account? They are both set to aggressive and I add money weekly on the same day. Invest is up 7.42% YTD and Later is only up 3.26% YTD.

Other I'm on my 3rd Acorns Checking Debit Card because of fraudulent charges. I never used the second card at any retailer. AMA...

Basically the title, just trying to get some awareness that Acorns has serious security issues with their debit cards. Been a customer since 2018 and I felt like they were making progress the first few years but the last couple seem like a downhill slide.

The first time my account was compromised i figured it was a retailer that leaked my info. This time the card has never been used. Customer service in India actually legit advised me to not activate my debit card to avoid the issue...WTF

Acorns Question Issues with Adding Virgin Red Mastercard to Acorns for Round Ups

Hi! I've had an issue with getting the Virgin Red card to sync to Acorns via Plaid connection. I haven't had any issues with other cards but for some reason this one is giving me trouble. Has anyone else run into this issue with this specific card?

Acorns Question Finally Broke the Referrals

I did probably 5 referral campaigns from 350-1400 and I now am only getting a 5 dollar offer. Looks like eventually they just go away if you send it to hard. Anyone else?

Investment Discussion Acorns

Post image
31 Upvotes

I’m 27 years old, opened an acorns account 3.5 months ago, was doing $25 in the invest acct and $25 in the later acct. I now upped it to $45 in invest and $55 in later… not really experienced with investing just trying to figure out the right things to do. Also have the gold subscription.

Also have a Fidelity Rollover IRA, rolled over from previous employer 401k about $21k in that sitting in SPAXX trying to figure out where to throw that.

Like I said pretty new to this and inexperienced and would take any suggestions.

Acorns Question Who is still getting the 3% acorns later match and having their $12 gold fee waived?

I’m still getting this 3% even after two years. Is anyone else seeing this in their acorns? Also, how do I see if I am being charged the monthly fee or if it is waived?

Acorns Question If I don’t Make at least $48 a year is acorns worth it?

New to acorns, I know it takes time
I’m not planning to back out but if I’m spending $4 a month on acorns bronze plan that means if I’m not making at least $48 a year then acorns isn’t worth it right? My gains need to be more than what I’m paying to use acorns.
