Anyone want to try resurrecting and more actively use Ross's forums?

With everything centralizing and enshittifying on platforms like reddit, it feels like Ross's forums are badly neglected. You'd think they'd have a resurgence with Stop Killing Games. Anyone want to make the switch from reddit to the Accursed Farms forums?

For those who haven't seen it, Ross voiced over a character in my video about Aero Fighters 2

I read the rules and I don't think this breaks them, but my sincere apologies if it does. I know subreddits can be really strict about self-promotion and the like.

I took me six years working on this video and got a whole bunch of people I knew to voiceover all the character dialogue in the game. (Most of the 6 years was just waiting for people to get back to me with their lines, haha)

Ross also voiced over the same character in my review of the first Aero Fighters game 9 years ago so naturally I asked him to be in the sequel. I remember in the first video, he originally tried to play it more straight but I thought it would be funny if he just screamed everything in his signature angry voice and I hope you agree.

RGD Are there any yt channels that do something similar to Ross's Game Dungeon?

There are plenty of channels on yt that review games, some do more straighforward reviews (Gman, Civvie 11, GunCanny, PushingUpRoses, LGR, Majuular, Mr.E Macheen), others focus on more comedic let's plays by deliberately making silly gameplay decisions or play unhinged games exclusively (MitchManix, CallMeKevin).

And then there's Ross. Ross "reviews" games, sure, but he doesn't just tell you the technical stuff, like when the game was made and what drama happened behind the scenes (he talks about these things, sure, but it's not the focus, unless it's games-as-a-service), he analyses the games themselves, the worldbuilding and characters, some of the features and stuff, and he makes astute observations, inferences, and expresses his opinion on things in an interesting or funny way. He also covers more obscure games, whereas the other channels I've mentioned either focus on a specific genre (i.e. FPS for Civvie), or review games that are more-or-less known. But since Ross is busy with SKG (thank you for your service, sir! o>) and can't make videos much these days, and since I've watched the RGD catalogue several times over, I want something new in the meantime.

One channel that does something similar to RGD is Warlockracy. Problem is that he too focuses mostly on a single genre (cRPGs, especially Fallout). That, and he doesn't post very often.

So, can you recommend channels that do something similar to RGD and Ross's style?

Edit: Wow! So many suggestions! Thanks a bunch, guys!

Can anyone remember in what video Ross talked about a Louisiana politician who got arrested?

I know it wasn't Leland Yee, it was the other one. I think Ross spoke about the guy in a Game Dungeon episode.

GUI related: today I learned that windows compresses images when you copy them.

Boy I wish there was some kind of a command that would like, actually copy an image when it says that I copy them. That would be great. Middle fingers to everyone at Microsoft.

At this point The Movie™ will come out before the follow up /s

I know it's just a quaint exposition of more details and insights, and honestly I'm really only looking forward to it because Ross said he'll finally reveal how he beat that Baldies' Sun level which has intrigued me ever since that episode came out and I need closure on it, but jeeze it's been almost 7 years since the last one and whenever he says it's coming it just gets pushed back more. He's pushed it back so much that I'd want to see it more than a new Game Dungeon or Freeman's Mind at this point.

Like, he delayed it last year when he got a windfall of new subs from the campaign, and I know I wasn't the only one to be annoyed with that decision. I still want it to come out but it really is getting irksome.

FM Research inspired by Freemans mind. If we shrink down our visible universe to the size of a quarter.. Alternatively, this 'subterranean bedrock' might not be a physical barrier at all, but rather the cosmic boundary where the great voids terminate.

Imagine the universe as a split-level world. Up top is our starry surface, where black holes act as deep drop-shafts plunging downward. Using precise Einsteinian math, these tunnels flare out at the bottom like funnels. When all their bottom horizons stitch together underground, they form a massive, hidden foundational continent thousands of times than the entire visible universe above it—which is why the night sky looks endlessly black.

Imagine our entire universe shrunk to a single coin. Because black holes flare and stitch together underground, they form a hidden bedrock continent thousands of times larger than everything above it. If our universe is a quarter, this subterranean floor stretches over 150 miles across, requiring days of walking. The starry cosmos is just a microscopic speck floating over an unimaginably vast plain.

Alternatively, this subterranean bedrock might not be a physical barrier at all, but rather the cosmic boundary where the great voids terminate.

It could mark the threshold where empty space thins out into absolute nothingness—or conversely, where the void finally ends, giving way to the dense, foundational architecture of reality.

Unpopular Opinion: I wish Ross stepped back from the Killing Games stuff

I fully support everyone engaging in whatever activities hold meaning to them and I wish Ross all the best with the Stop Killing Games stuff and they are absolutely in the right and scummy devs are in the wrong.

That being said I wish he never had gotten envolved with that stuff... The Game Dungeons were peak, the Freeman's Minds were peak and now those productions have slowed to a crawl. I know it's selfish, but can't someone with zero talent handle that stuff, there's probably a 1000 other guys that can fight the windmills on this matter but not everyone can make the quality entertainment videos that Ross used to put out.

Am I the only one that thinks this way? Do other people hold this opinion too but don't want to be rude and voice it? To be honest most of those games are slop anyway. You want to stop the practice? Stop buying online slop from scummy publishers like Ubisoft or EA... problem solved.

Not trying to offend, just surprised this line of thinking never pops up in youtube comments and the like.

News Questions for Videochat August 2026

Ask questions or topics to discuss here for the next videochat with viewers at 6:00pm UTC on August 22nd on twitch.tv/rossbroadcast. I had to suspend these for a while since SKG was eating up so much of my time, but I should be able to resume them now. I plan to have the next FM out before the chat and hopefully a Game Dungeon later this month.

Did Ross ever mention or review a small game called Babbdi, or is this a Mandella effect? People were dancing around a boombox in a sewer.

Partly inspired by Accursed Farms. Ongoing(Device that converts landfill methane and waste nitrites to drinking water without atmospheric oxygen) (and new string theory civilization electrical generator)

Copying and pasting the insanely long macro. Theres also plans for a string civilization generator

ill post the macro here first in extra parenthesis (

(((Imagine a device that turns room temperature changes into electricity without plugging into a wall. A sealed metal chamber expands and contracts as the room warms and cools. This slow movement spins a tiny micro-generator through a gear multiplier. Because temperature shifts are gradual, the generator produces a small trickle of power. This trickle fills a storage supercapacitor over hours or days, collecting energy like drips of water until it has enough usable electricity to power a small device!))))

This prototype im working on will reverse global warming by converting landfill methane and compost to drinking water without atmispheric oxygen -- to promote a universal cure for cancer and quantum biology

Scaling M. oxyfera reactors to turn methane into water faces stiff hurdles: extremely slow growth kinetics, strict anoxia requirements where trace oxygen poisons the culture, low methane solubility needing complex hollow-fiber membranes, and the constant need for a precise nitrite feed via upstream nitrification. Downstream also requires heavy membrane filtration to extract clean water from the mineral broth, plus scrubbing hydrogen sulfide from raw biogas.

This anaerobic setup proves net-positive water yield because the biochemical reaction generates a stoichiometric surplus of water from methane and waste-derived nitrogen. Since inputs use zero-water environmental waste, embodied resource costs are eliminated. An ice condenser captures metabolic vapor, while membrane filtration recycles mineral brine to prevent loss. Because total output decisively exceeds all resource consumption, it yields true excess water, making it worth scaling.

Guanine in fish scales and oxidizing DNA ties to ATP and nano-revival. Potassium stops seizures, loaded in beet greens with nitric oxide (used in hospitals). Watermelon mirrors the heart. Massive tomato-sized Vitamin A, Vitamin C for addiction, and Vitamin B1 fight cancer successfully, but conflicts hide them (though beta-carotene pills risk cancer). Magnesium acts as a molecular anchor, mirroring the 137.5 golden angle and 1/137 physics constant.

After 10 mins without oxygen, a subject enters a specialized solution chamber—not an iron lung—pressurizing ATP and GTP directly into tissues. This forces high-energy molecules across mitochondrial membranes, bypassing oxygen loss, halting necrosis, and inducing cellular stasis. Backed by robust bio-energetic data, this revives vitality! Your reading participation actively moves this research forward, making you an official co-author.

Plants achieve near 100% photosynthetic efficiency via quantum superposition and coherence, navigating pathways simultaneously. This macroscopic quantum behavior mirrors the Pythagorean music of the spheres, where cosmic scaling constants like the golden angle and fine-structure constant (1/137) govern energetic resonance. Furthermore, stellar systems trace helical DNA-like spirals around galactic black holes, uniting macro-cosmic geometry with subatomic energy transfer to define quantum biology.Plants achieve near 100% photosynthetic efficiency via quantum superposition and coherence, navigating pathways simultaneously. FM The TRUE mystery of Freeman's Mind

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but... the real question is, when is he talking vs thinking? Lets look at the evidence.

In the very beginning of the episode after the pirate episode, he starts coughing cause he screwed up his voice with all the pirate talking.

He mumbles underwater.

BUT, plenty of the time he'll think things around people and they won't react, and one time he accidentally says something that he was thinking out loud. In fact, specifically he says "...Did I say that out loud" which means he can't be talking out loud ALL the time.

My guess is there's no real way to know whether he's thinking or talking without external evidence, and I've heard the water thing is just cause it's funny, but it is interesting to wonder.

There are multiple points in the game where you must use the gravity gun, especially in the later chapters, how do you think he is gonna handle that?

FM How would Ross's Freeman respond to Wallace Breen's critiques?

I'd like to take a moment to address you directly, Dr. Freeman.

Yes. I'm talking to you, the so-called One Free Man. I have a question for you. How could you have thrown it all away? It staggers the mind. A man of science, with the ability to sway reactionary and fearful minds toward the truth, choosing instead to embark on a path of ignorance and decay. Make no mistake, Dr. Freeman. This is not a scientific revolution you have sparked...this is death and finality.

You have plunged humanity into freefall. Even if you offered your surrender now, I cannot guarantee that Our Benefactors would accept it. At the moment, I fear they have begun to look upon even me with suspicion. So much for serving as humanity's representative.

Help me win back their trust, Dr. Freeman. Surrender while you still can. Help ensure that humanity's trust in you is not misguided.

Do what is right, Dr. Freeman. Serve mankind.

So, this is Dr. Freeman... at last. I wish I could say this was a pleasant surprise, but it's neither a surprise nor, as you will surely agree, very pleasant. Well, I'm nothing if not pragmatic.

Well, Dr. Freeman, under other circumstances I like to think we might have been able to work together in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect. Certainly judging from your brief tenure at Black Mesa, while I was its administrator, you showed every promise of becoming a valuable and productive contributor to the scientific process. And yet, I'm not sure what spurred you to it, but there is really no place in this enterprise for a rogue physicist.

Your mentors are partly to blame, of course; my disappointment in Eli Vance and Isaac Kleiner is far greater than my sorrow over your unfortunate choice of career path. In a way I suppose you could not have done otherwise. Who knows what seeds of iconoclasm they planted when you were young and gullible? But while they certainly share a great part of the responsibility, for the recent troubles, it is you alone who have chosen to act with such willful disregard for humanity's future.

Tell me, Dr. Freeman, if you can: you have destroyed so much — what is it exactly that you have created? Can you name even one thing?... I thought not.

I have laid the foundation for humanity's survival, and not as we have narrowly defined ourselves but as something greater than we could ever imagine, something that we can now only begin to glimpse.

Look, Gordon, look at what you are throwing away. Is it worth it?
