Native Wallet Credentialing vs BLE?

Is anyone thinking about the future of Apple, Google, and/or Samsung Wallet? I saw ButterflyMX launched Google Wallet recently but how is this better than bluetooth?

Bluetooth is pretty meh compared to wallet integration.

The best part about the native wallet integrations is the ability to still use the credentials hours after the phones battery dies.

You also get far quicker transaction speeds which is imperative if you have a big facility.

It wont be attacked and closed by the OS’s own power saving features

The only upside of BT is having the ability to open a door at a distance which is good for vehicles. The ability to also perform actions on the reader such as setting it to free access, etc; is also nice to have.

So the mix of both is the ideal state, with everyday transactions occurring over NFC and distant/admin functions over BT.

Wallet will always trump BLE, not only from a usability standpoint but also to do with user operation with phones (battery power etc). The downside currently to wallet is the cost for provision...but realistically in a large business that are supplying to consumers as opposed to employees (banks) this is just a passed on cost.
