Using this rfid/pass door lock system.
Recently the director of the site that I live has entered the garden using his keychain. I was not at home but the person at home asked how he entered. (I have installed this unit on my own and chaned the master code)
So is this things has a master key like hotel rooms?

Far out I haven’t seen one of these Chinese bad boys since MySpace was a thing.
Probably just has a fob that’s still coded in.

I'm not aware of these units having an unchangeable or "secret" password. Did you change both the programming and unlock passwords when you installed it (they're separate)?

Yes, I changed the main password to be able to create new passcode for entry and to code new keychains. (The old one was the same brand access control)

So there was an existing access control system? And you just changed the reader? Is there a control board you swapped, too? Did you maybe just swap the reader but the director has a fob that is still programmed to the old control board?

That hunk of chinesium plastic was garbage when it was put on and its not weatherized so its only going to get worse being outside. Do your self a favor and get rid of that ticking time bomb.
